X-Plus is releasing the 30cm Series Super Mechagodzilla Super Fight Color Version (fierce battle color). This is the same figure that was released in 2017 with a new paint scheme and light up eyes, it has a non detachable Garuda. It is 35cm tal and retails for 27,500 yen ($225.31 US), it can be pre-ordered from both the Japanese and US X-Plus websites with release scheduled for Dec 2019.
X-Plus is releasing the DefoReal Godzilla Raids Again Godzilla and Anguirus figures, the Ric version features natural color scheme, and the standard feature a monochrome color scheme. Godzilla is 13cm tall and 13cm in length, Anguirus stands 11cm tall and 13 cm in length, the Ric versions are sold as a set and the standards are sold separately. The Ric set retails for 14,300 yen, the standard for is 6,600 yen each, they can be pre-ordered now with release scheduled for Jan 2020.
X-Plus once again brought it's A game to Summer Wonder Festival, there were some new announcements as well as some updates. The Ric Gigantic Godzilla 2019 was revealed and looks to be blue fins that don't light up, and it will have a Dec release. The King Of The Monsters DefoReals were shown again as well as a new Godzilla Raids Again set. Kong Fighting pose was show again. A number of Ultraman releases were shown including a punk rock kaiju. X-Plus has announced the DefoReal Destoroyah figure, the next figure in this popular line. This figure is 16 cm (including horns) tall, 19 cm in length, and 21 cm wide (including wings), the Ric version features a light up horn and eyes. It will retail for 11,000 yen ($99.14 US) and can be pre-ordered now on both the Japanese and US Ric sites with release scheduled for Dec 2019.
X-Plus has announced there Summer Wonder Festival Exclusive Pink DefoReal Hedorah. This figure is the same mold as the previous version molded in pink vinyl, it will retail for 5,000 yen, will be limited to 150 at the show and other 150 with a web lottery afterwards. Wonder Festival is this Sunday July 28th at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall.
X-Plus is releasing the Soft Series Hedorah Final Form figure, based on the Large Monster Series figure that was released in June 2017. This figure is a soft squishy vinyl, it does not come with the extras (arms, light up gimmick) of the original. It stands 28cm tall and will retail for 16,500 yen ($135.19 US), it can be pre-ordered now from both the US and Japanese Ric sites, and is scheduled for release in Oct 2019.
X-Plus has revealed the Large Monster Series Orga and Large Monster Series Varan Monochrome, Orga was revealed (unpainted) at Super Festival, this is the Dopepope design (a Legion figure designed by him should be coming as well). Varan is the 2012 version in a new monochrome paint scheme. Orga looks awesome, stands 25cm tall, the Ric version comes with a Millennian (alien) which is molded in a clear blue vinyl, it will retail for 17,820 yen ($148.71 US). Varan (a Ric only figure) stands 14.5cm tall and is 38cm in length, it will retail for 12,960 yen ($108.15 US). Both are scheduled for a Sept 2019 release and are available on both the Japanese and US Ric sites.
X-Plus is releasing the Favorite Sculptors Line Godzilla 1962 Walking Pose and Large Monster Series Mogera 1957 Luminescence Version. The Godzilla 1962 is based on a Inoue Arts kit released in 2004, it comes with a base and support, stands 32cm tall, and will retail for 21,600 yen ($180.25 US). Mogera was originally released in 2012 is released again this time with a light up feature for it's eyes, it stands 25cm tall, and retails for 14,040 yen ($117.16 US). Both can be pre-ordered now from X-Plus (Ric exclusives) from both the Japanese and US sites with release scheduled for August 2019.
X-Plus is releasing the Godzilla (1964) Three Big Monsters Earth's Largest Battle set, featuring the line up from Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (minus Ghidorah which is being released separately). The set includes Godzilla (25cm tall), Rodan flying version (27cm wingspan) with base, and Mothra larva (8cm in length). A regular version of Godzilla 1964 without the other two figures will be released from regular retailers, it should retail for 14,580 yen. This set will retail for 24,300 yen ($202.78 on the US Ric site), it can be pre-ordered from X-Plus with release scheduled for July 2019.
X-Plus knows how to surprise us and this time it is at Super Festival 80, with a ton of reveals. The first big reveal is a DefoReal Godzilla 2019 with him shooting his atomic breath in the air, it looks like his breath glows or is a light up but that may just be the lighting. Another surprise was a Favorite Sculptors Line Godzilla 1962 with a base. Also shown was the Godzilla 1964 with what might be two Ric bonuses a mini Mothra larva and flying Rodan. Orga also appeared in an unpainted prototype, it is unclear if this is the Dopepope figure, and has a space changing to Orga Ric bonus it seems. Mogera 1957 was on display as well. A 30cm Baraugon will be coming July too. An Ultraman A appearance pose prototype was there as well. Also displayed was a number of announced releases including a good comparison of the two versions of Burning Godzilla that was just announced.
