NECA PACIFIC RIM

​NECA (National Entertainment Collectibles Association) is a toy and entertainment company that produces collectibles based on many different licenses from music, TV, movies, pop culture and more.
​They starting producing Pacific Rim figures in 2013 till 2016. NECA's figures feature multiple points of articulation and great detail at a lower price point.

Knifehead Series One was released June 2013. There was complaints from fans that Knifehead was too small, NECA released a larger one more in line with the other figures.

"The main hero Jaeger receives the deluxe 18″ treatment including enhanced sculptural details, attachable chain-sword weapon, and lights on the chest and head. Stands an impressive 18″ tall with articulated neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. Gipsy is very poseable and includes intricate paint detail to replicate all the battle damage and wear and tear seen on screen. The over 8″ long chain-sword weapon attaches at the forearms and can be wielded on the right or left side. This is the must have collector’s figure from Pacific Rim!"

This Series Three figure was released Feb 2014.
This series includes Trespasser and an all-new, battle-damaged Knifehead. Trespasser is the first Kaiju to emerge from the breach. It is huge in every way and features incredible detail, an enormous back fin, and over 20 points of articulation, including a hinged jaw and bendable tail.
Battle-damaged Knifehead, the largest Category III Kaiju, features an entirely new body sculpt that is 50% larger than the previous version, with improved detail and articulation.

​"From the epic Pacific Rim movie, Scunner is the largest of the Category IV Kaiju. Its appearance and behavior are akin to that of a bull. Broad and stocky, the two curved horns jutting out of its head act as battering rams against armored opponents like the Jaegers.
Scunner has four arms that are all poseable, along with a bendable tail and tons of detail and additional articulation."

These figures were released July 2014 first as a SDCC Exclusive then available at selected online retailers and Cons. A total of 5,000 pieces were made.
"This special edition 3-pack is a deluxe recreation of the end credits for the hit film Pacific Rim! It contains black-colored, high-gloss-finish action figures of Gipsy Danger, Crimson Typhoon, and Striker Eureka, packaged and positioned in the same formation seen in the credits. The 7″ Jaegers also have glow-in-the-dark paint effects on their “visors” (or Conn-Pod windows). The background insert and printing on the acetate window utilize the same graphics created by Imaginary Forces in rendering this scene for the film. The window box is covered with a protective slipcover featuring an embossed foil-printed insignia of the Pan Pacific Defense Corps."
