The 59th All Japan Model Hobby Show is taking place in Tokyo and there was a few of kits revealed. The first one does not appear to be new, Polar Lights King Ghidorah. While the kit itself isn't new the package features slightly different art. No release date was given but a price of 5,800 yen was on the tag. Also on display was Figure-Rise Standard Ultraman Suit Tiga, the anime/manga version. The odd thing on this one is the tag lists a Feb 2019 release, which has passed, we assume they meant Feb 2020, there is also a price of 4,500 yen listed. Other Figure-Rise Standard kit was shown Ultraman Suit B Type Limiter Version which looks very similar to the previously released B Type but with different coloring. This one like the other had a Mar 2019 release date which again seems to be a mistake, retail listed for this one is 5,000 yen. Pics courtesy of Dengeki Hobby.
Bandai is releasing the King Ghidorah 1964 Three Color Figure Set, it features Ghidorah in his traditional gold, original color version, and poster/lobby card version. It stands 24cm tall and is 34cm wide (wingspan), and it will retail for 14,300 yen. It can be pre-ordered now from Bandai and possible other retailers, with release scheduled for Dec 2019. We will update on the details once we have more info.
Update: this is a two figure set with extra head/necks for poster version.
There was a number of kaiju related figures at Summer Wonder Festival, some new, some previously shown. Two new items were the Aoshima Mechagodzilla/Kiryu model kit, while the kit itself isn't new the inclusion of the AC-3 White Heron or Shirasagi is. It is unclear if it comes with one or two, probably one, and possibly a stand. Also new is a Threezero Baltan a very detailed figure that comes with a second set of hands. It looks like it will be up for pre-order Aug 2019 and retail for $280 US. Also on display were the Megahouse Godzilla 2019, and the Art Spirits Godzilla 2019, Shin Godzilla 2nd Form, and GFW Gigan Version 2. Pics from Dengeki Hobby.
