Jurassic Park directed by Steven Spielberg, it is based on the 1990 novel of the same name by Michael Crichton. The film is set on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, located off Central America’s Pacific Coast near Costa Rica, where billionaire philanthropist John Hammond and a small team of genetic scientists have created a wildlife park of cloned dinosaurs. Triceratops was a very common dinosaur which lived at the very end of the Cretaceous period. It had a huge frilled head with horns over each eye that could reach over 4 feet long. Triceratops had a third, smaller horn on its nose. These would be fearsome weapons against a predator.  The list of Jurassic Park dinosaurs coming from Prime 1 Studio continues to grow, while some we know about others are new. Prime 1 is releasing at least two raptors statues (attack version and a regular standing version) and a triceratops statue as part of their larger scale line (1/6 scale). Prime 1 is also releasing a T-rex and Triceratops in a 1/38 scale (toy size), it is not clear at this point if the smaller scale ones will have diorama style base like the larger ones. No word yet on full reveals or release dates but the large scale Triceratops will probably be the first one of the group release (since it was reveal at Summer Wonder Festival), more info as we get it.       JURASSIC PARK Rotunda Rex “When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth.” In the original Jurassic Park, our final glimpse of the magic of the cloned dinosaurs is of the escaped Tyrannosaurus-Rex just having fended off the ferocious Velociraptors for our heroes. She bellows out an earth-shattering roar in the visitor center rotunda as a banner reading “WHEN DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH” gently falls down in front of her. Without a doubt, the scene is one of the most memorable in cinematic history.  Iron Studios is releasing three Jurassic Park Velociraptor statues the Velociraptor Art Scale 1/10, the Crouching Velociraptor Art Scale 1/10, and the Velociraptor Attack Art Scale 1/10. Each statue is sold separately, are limited edition, based on original references from the movie, made in Polystone, hand painted, and include a base display.   Medicom is releasing a pair of Osorzi Gorilla figures, real and retro colors, from the little known Japanese TV series Small Superman Gun Barron (translation). The Gorilla that stood 50 meters tall in the show, stands 25cm as a figure, both are the same sculpt with different color schemes. The set retails for 15,000 yen can be pre-ordered now from Medicom and other retailers with release scheduled for the end of October.
