Tamashii/Bandai has officially announced the S.H. MonsterArts Hedorah 50th Anniversary Special Commemorative Set, and the S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla 2004. The Hedorah set comes with the adult form, flying form, and underwater form (tadpole), and stands for the flying and underwater forms as well as a water base for the underwater form to give the appearance it is emerging from the water, the adult form is 17cm tall, the flying form 17.5cm in length, and the underwater form is 8.5cm in length. The set retails for 19,800 yen with release scheduled for June 2022 from Bandai. Godzilla 2004 is 16cm tall and retails for 9,350 yen, it is scheduled for a April 2022 release from general retailers.

Godzilla 2001 Bust will be ready for Pre-Order tomorrow Thursday, 25th November 2021, at 6p.m (SGT)!

The designs are conceptualized and interpreted by XM Studios, together with acclaimed illustrator and sculptor Tanaka Kenichi, who is the 2D and 3D artist for this first XM release.

Background of Godzilla 2001:
Godzilla 2001 is the third incarnation of Godzilla to appear in the Millennium series of films. This incarnation from the Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack, also known as GMK, was raised from the dead by the restless souls of the victims in World War II. Harboured with hatred and vengeance, Godzilla is an evil apparition and manifestation of pure hatred.

XM’s interpretation of the Godzilla 2001 stays true to the concept behind suitmation in the original Japanese films. Each scale, crease and fold are individually sculpted and hand-painted with jagged texture to create the realistic look of Godzilla. Muscular eyebrows and milky pupil less eyes add to the malicious and evil portrayal. The ferocious, threatening expression is further articulated through the details of the mouth, with the teeth individually sculpted with realistic worn out bone white application and textured tongue.

The base for the bust is kept plain and simple to draw the attention to the intricate details of the bust design. A plaque with the name of the film is embossed on the back of the bust.

Medicom is releasing two new items, Anraku Ansaku Godzilla Vinyl Wars EX Godzilla 1968 2nd Term and the Godzilla Vinyl Wars EX Kilaaks set. Godzilla is a new colorway, while the Kilaaks set includes a Kilaak ship, the Fire Dragon, and two Kilaaks, Godzilla is 26cm tall and the Kilaaks set is stated as 26cm also (possible the ship) and they will retail for 16,500 yen each. The lottery is open from Nov 24th to Dec 10th, on the Medicom Toy Blog.

​22Toys is releasing the Tako Kong Atami Monster Film Festival Limited Edition figure. This figure is limited to the 4th Atami Monster Film Festival (at the Atami Kaiju Market), it stands 12cm tall and features Swarovski black diamonds for the eyes, it retails for 4,600 yen.It will be sold on Nov 23rd at the festival in very limited quantities.

Hard Shell Studios is releasing Space Godzilla Cosplay Pikachu Resin Statue. The Space Godzilla Cosplay Pikachu is approx. 13cm tall and 12cm wide, features light up forehead and shoulder crystals, limited to 398 pieces, and retails for $111.99. It can be pre-ordered from FavorGK and other retailers and will be released Q1 2022.

X-Plus was at Super Festival Extra Vol. 1 and as usual had a number of figure. They had the 2021 Kong prototype on display we learned it will be released May 2022, also on display was a 30cm Gamera 1966 prototype which also looked great, there was also a number of Ultraman figures King Maimai larva, Verokron, Regeneration Eleking, and more. There was two new, or potential new, lines a new smaller model kit line that will include a 11cm tall Gamera, and a Gigantic DefoReal line with the reveal of a Shin Godzilla. Medicom is releasing the HxS Godzilla King Kong vs. Godzilla Version 2nd Term lottery figure. This figure stands 28cm tall, and will retail for 66,000 yen. The lottery is open from Nov 12th to Nov 22nd on the Medicom Toy Blog here, this is a Japan only figure.

Super Festival Extra Vol.1 is taking place Nov 14th at the Science Museum in Tokyo and as always there are figures for the event. US Toys, Bullmark, and Hazawa Gumi have all announced figures, Hazawa Gumi has the G Memories Selection "Mothra Vs. Godzilla" Showdown Set Unpainted (GID), the set features Godzilla 1964 and two Mothra larva, Godzilla is approx. 17cm and the larva approx. 13cm, the set retails for 7,700 yen. US Toys has a number of Yuesu/Yue Pocket Mini Soft Vinyl Bill Box Monster Series figures both Ultraman related and Godzilla related, all are approx. 8.5cm tall and retail for approx. 3,600 yen. Bullmark has Monster Series Sevenger (Ultraman Z version), Monster Series Little Hedorah Aurora Color, and Monster Series S Return of Ultraman Silver, Return of Ultraman, they range between 15cm and 28cm tall and retail between 5,000 and 8,000 yen.
