Acro is releasing the Kaiju Remix Series Seabozu, the Ghost Monster figure, part of the series of re-imagined Ultra kaiju. This vinyl figure stands approx. 33cm tall, sculpted by James Groman, and it retail for approx. 23,000 yen. This is available for pre-order from multiple retailers like Hobby Search, with release scheduled for December 2026.
"ACRO proposed Seabozu as the next monster in the 'Kaiju Remix' series, following Red King. As a child, I felt a little unsatisfied with Seabozu's somewhat childish and humorous gestures shown in the show. At the time, I preferred more ferocious monsters. However, at the same time, I was completely captivated by the strange and beautiful skeletal design created by Tsuburaya Productions. And above all, I was strongly drawn to the somewhat gloomy and poignant setting that "he just wanted to return to his grave." It is this tragedy that makes Seabozu a more memorable presence as the most misunderstood monster. In this Remix, we have added a new interpretation to Seabozu's emotions and poses. "What if Seabozu was furious at being forcibly brought back from the monster graveyard?" "What if he was a monster that had brought as much destruction as possible to humanity, and was finally about to return to eternal sleep?" I was strongly drawn to these ideas, and I reflected that image in the pose. I wanted to express him roaring and challenging humanity, yet with his gaze slightly up to the sky, somehow aware of the place where he will ultimately return. I am truly happy that this figure has turned out so wonderfully. And I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to release this work to the world together with ACRO. I hope that you can feel even a little of the joy and passion we felt while creating this work."

I have been involved in the KAIJU REMIX series, succeeding my dear friend Yasushi Nirasawa. I was born in the same year as him (1963), and like many others, my childhood was heavily influenced by the era of epoch-making creations such as special effects and manga. The opening of Ultraman left a particularly strong impression on me (it started with Ultra Q), and the first thing I wrote in my life was the word "Ultraman". Of course, I also became fascinated with Ultra Seven, and even after a long time, I am still fascinated by the designs of the capsule monsters such as Windom and Micras, Eleking, King Joe, and many others. I feel a sense of responsibility to take over from Yasushi Nirasawa, but I think it's most important to enjoy it to the fullest! I'd be happy if people of all ages could enjoy the arrangements I made with respect for the original!
I designed Windom with an arrangement concept that emphasizes that it is a support weapon for Ultra Seven. I can't stop thinking about how Windam must have been a creature from some other planet, and then modified after various events... but in my memory, he was often on the losing side, so I wanted to equip him with a powerful weapon, and equipped him with two pieces of equipment from the same series as the Ice Slinger on his back to strengthen his fighting power. However, I also wanted to preserve his lovable mood, and the arrangement was based on the hidden theme of "It would be great to have a partner like this." The modeling was done by Keiki Fujimoto, who created it 100% digitally. I am extremely grateful that he was able to improve my rough arrangement to a wonderful level of completion! Recently, I have been enjoying imagining this guy moving in CG in my mind, toying with the Guts Alien people.

ACRO's KAIJUREMIX recreates monsters with universal designs with loving arrangements. This is the first time I have participated in this series, which I have enjoyed as a user for some time. Windom is a capsule monster that first appeared in the first episode of Ultra Seven. It looks mechanical, but has the setting of a monster and comical movements, making it cool and charming, making it a true "Ultra Monster".
Arranged by Takeya Takayuki, it has details that make it seem as if it will start moving at any moment, making a sound, and a more powerful body. It's not just cool, it has a somewhat silly appearance. When I first saw the design arrangement that fully expresses Windom's charm and character, I couldn't help but scream out loud. it's easy to imagine it bending its long arms to deal a great blow to its opponent lol . When it came to sculpting it, I felt like I was asking Takeya for help. I was a little confused by the mechanical mold, which I don't usually make, but I aimed for a beautiful silhouette and a sexy surface composition, and ultimately created it as much as time would allow. I hope you will enjoy it by having it at hand!

Also being released is the KRS PK Bird Eater figure (bottom) an original kaiju by Paul Komoda, it stands 18cm tall, and retails for 6,500 yen. This is the second version of this creature with this one featuring an open mouth and split jaw (similar to Shin Godzilla). It can also be pre-ordered now here with release in March 2020.
