 Kadokawa Bunko is releasing a prequel novel for Godzilla: Monster Planet called Godzilla: Monster Apocalypse the novel written by Takeshi Taiki. The story takes place before the events of Monster Planet and features Kamacarus, Dogora, Hedorah, and other monsters. "Why did mankind have to throw away the home that is a hometown?", "What happened between monsters and humanity before Godzilla appeared?", "And then, contact with Godzilla ... ·. " (as the translation reads), and it seems to be told from the standpoint of front-line soldiers, general guides or politicians, scientists, citizens, those who were young children during these events. The book is 224 pages, will retail for 560 yen, and be released Oct 25, 2017.
