We posted about Yuji Kaida's Super Godzilla picture book crowdfunding campaign (which is at 300+%), three reward figures have been revealed samples. The three are the Limited Color Version Mechagodzilla 1974, Limited Color Version Godzilla 1962, and Limited Color Edition Godzilla 1962 Classic all three are made by Marusan and limited to twenty pieces, the two Godzillas are both glow in the dark. If you back the campaign at 25,500 yen you can get the Mechagodzilla or the Godzilla 1962 along with the book, if you back it at 36,500 yen you get the Godzilla 1962 Classic and the book, as we posted previously the book is a behemoth of 240 pages. Marusan has revealed more figures for their Marusan Toy Festival 2020 Autumn, these appear to be figures that will be available at the festival. These figures include MG-2 450 Soft Bimechanical Built-in Version, Toho Monster Lucky Bag Hedorah & Mothra, Dengeki 7 Series Super Beast Unitang Green Glitter, and Dengeki 7 Series Great Evil Beast Guiron Green Glitter. MG-2 (Mechagodzilla '75) is clear vinyl outside with a "mechanical mechanism " inside and also has a brain head under the regular head, it is 30cm tall and retails for 27,500 yen. The lucky bags feature one random Hedorah and a random unpainted Mothra larva, there are slight differences between the Hedorahs, each lucky bag is 11,000 yen. Unitang and Guiron are both 18cm tall and retail for 8,800 yen. All are limited releases to the event.

While most conventions have been canceled due to the pandemic small live events have starting in Japan, now one of the more major cons is back. Super Festival 84 takes place Nov 15th in Tokyo, and as usual there's a bunch of exclusives, including ones from US Toys, Marusan, and Bullmark. The US Toys figures are all Building Box, some regular size some mini, there are four Ultraman figures, Pigmon, Miclas, and two versions of Baltan, and two Gamera sets Gamera and Barugon, and Guiron and Gyaos, all are limited to no more than 20, and retail for up to 7,200 yen. Bullmark has three Ultraman releases Alien Karly, Garamon, Ultraman Zero, and Hedorah, all but Alien Karly are clear colored and stand 22cm tall (Karly is solid colored vinyl and 19cm tall), they retail between 7,000 and 8,500 yen each. The Marusan figures include Biollante 450 in two different colors, Biollante Rose Form 450, Ultraman three blank figure lucky bags, and a Eleking 450 Glow In The Dark, they retail between 15,000 and 27,000 yen.

There is a new crowdfunding campaign for a book by artist Yuji Kaida, Super Godzilla Picture Book. The book is 240 pages of artwork by Kaida and is aiming to be the first published collection of paintings containing all 35 works of the Godzilla series (including the "new" one) in a 240 page book. This limited edition book campaign will run from Nov 10th to Dec 17th, with a target of four million yen (just over $38,000 US), as with many crowdfunding campaigns there are different support levels with rewards including calendars, posters, T-shirts, toys (Marusan), and much more including hand-drawn original drawings. Marusan has announced their October 2020 website releases, like their recent lottery figures this are very limited. These releases include Hedorah 350A Neon Color 4 figure set, Ultraman 450 Gray Luminous version, Utom 450 Lucky Bag, and Nitto Guiron Mini/Middle Lucky Bag. The Hedorah set figure is 23cm tall, the set retails for 22,000 yen, and is limited to 10. Ultraman stands 29cm tall, retails for 11,000 yen, and is limited to 15. Utom comes in four colors, is 30cm tall, retails for 17,000 yen, and is limited to 10. Guiron lucky bags come in four colors with two figures standing 10cm (mini) and 12cm (middle) in each, they retail for 5,000 yen, and are limited to 20. All are Japanese only figures.

Medicom and Marusan have announced new lottery figures, from Medicom there is the CCP Burning Godzilla New Color, and Godzilla Vinyl Wars EX MCT Burning Godzilla, and from Marusan there is the Biollante Adult Beast Coloring 1st Edition Silver Eye Version, and Hedorah 450 Phosphorescent + Pink/Blue/Yellow Edition. The Medicoms are 23cm and 24cm tall, and retail for 7,000 yen and 12,000 yen respectively, the lottery will open Oct 24th to Nov 10th on the Medicom Toy Blog. The Marusan figures are approx 30cm tall each, and retail for 27,000 yen (Biollante), and 22,000 yen (Hedorah), both lotteries can be entered by emailing Marusan by writing in the subject line "POP-UP Asakusa 1024" (and figure) and the body text being "name, address, phone number".

Marusan has announced their September figure releases including Hedorah 350, Marugacha 6cm Spectreman Lucky Bag, Toho Kaiju 350 Blank Lucky Bag, and Mothra Larva 350 Lucky Bag. Hedorah is a double mold (black and pink), is 24cm tall, retails for 15,000 yen, and is limited to 20. The Spectreman Lucky Bag is 5 random figures approx 6cm tall, they retail for 5,000 yen, and is limited to 30 sets. The Toho Lucky Bags are 2 random figures that are 23cm tall, they retail for 10,000 yen and are limited to 20 sets. The Mothra Lucky Bags are one random figure 17cm long, they retail for 5,000 yen and are limited to 20. All are Japanese only releases that are sales not lottery as many Marusan announcements lately.

Both Medicom and Marusan announced blue Godzilla lottery figures, the Godzilla Vinyl Wars EX Giant Pretty Godzilla Metallic Blue (Medicom), and First Godzilla 1954 Blue Glitter Version (Marusan). The Medicom figure (above) like a number of figures announced within the past few days is a lottery figure that will open on Sept 24th thur Oct 10th (with Oct shipping date), it stands 35cm tall, and will retail for 10,000 yen. The Marusan lottery figure (below) opens now till Sept 17th (yes short window), is 22cm tall, and retails for 11,400 yen.

Marusan has been releasing a number of limited edition lottery figures and this one is very cool, Flower Beast Biollante 450 Green Glitter & Red Glitter Version. Marusan has released blanks as well as a regular painted version, this figure stands 30cm tall, and retail for 22,000 yen. The lottery looks to take place at the Marusan Pop-Up Kaiju Salon Shop in Asakusa in Tokyo at the Tokyo Brain Bar, August 29, 2020 (enter here by August 25).
