The Godzilla Store has announced a bunch of new and old merchandise in celebration of Godzilla Festival 2020, Godzilla's 66th Anniversary. There was highly anticipated releases like X-Plus Gigantic Shin Godzilla Awakening Version Purple Edition, a Movie Monster Series Mechagodzilla (Heavy Armed Type) Heavy Paint Specification, Godzilla Awaji Island Landing Version Diorama, as well as some surprise like the Godzilla Slip Mat Set, Gojiham-kun (Godzilla Hamtaro crossover) merchandise, 2021 calendar, and many re-released items.

The Gigantic Shin Godzilla appears to be the same as the previously released version but with a more purple paint scheme (clear purple vinyl painted, the original had red in it's coloring, same size), it will retail for 77,000 yen (currently shown as sold out), with release Nov 20, 2020. The Movie Monster MechaGodzilla also is a re-release with updated paint scheme, retailing for 3,300 yen. Godzilla Awaji Island Landing Version Diorama is a scale diorama of the zipline Shin near the Godzilla museum, it's 25cm long, 10.5cm tall, and 12cm deep, it retails for 3,850 yen and will release mid Dec 2020. The Godzilla slip mat set are collectible record player mats, one feature Godzilla 1954 image the other a "walking" Godzilla pattern (it gives the appearance of Godzilla walking when spinning), it retails for 3,960 yen and will be released April 2021. The Gojiham-kun merchandise features a design by Matt Frank (Gamera Box Set artist among other things) on a number of items including key chain, towel, t-shirt, tote , and more. The calendar is a desktop version with many images from Godzilla's film library, it retails for 1,650 yen and will be released Dec 2020. There is a new crowdfunding campaign for a book by artist Yuji Kaida, Super Godzilla Picture Book. The book is 240 pages of artwork by Kaida and is aiming to be the first published collection of paintings containing all 35 works of the Godzilla series (including the "new" one) in a 240 page book. This limited edition book campaign will run from Nov 10th to Dec 17th, with a target of four million yen (just over $38,000 US), as with many crowdfunding campaigns there are different support levels with rewards including calendars, posters, T-shirts, toys (Marusan), and much more including ​hand-drawn original drawings. Marusan has announced their October 2020 website releases, like their recent lottery figures this are very limited. These releases include Hedorah 350A Neon Color 4 figure set, Ultraman 450 Gray Luminous version, Utom 450 Lucky Bag, and Nitto Guiron Mini/Middle Lucky Bag. The Hedorah set figure is 23cm tall, the set retails for 22,000 yen, and is limited to 10. Ultraman stands 29cm tall, retails for 11,000 yen, and is limited to 15. Utom comes in four colors, is 30cm tall, retails for 17,000 yen, and is limited to 10. Guiron lucky bags come in four colors with two figures standing 10cm (mini) and 12cm (middle) in each, they retail for 5,000 yen, and are limited to 20. All are Japanese only figures.

X-Plus has announced the DefoReal Godzilla 2001 Luminous Version figure, this is the same sculpt released in 2018. This new version includes a light up gimmick for the fins, it stands 10cm tall and will retail for 8,250 yen (7,500 yen on the US site ($70.77 US)). It can be pre-ordered from X-Plus with release scheduled for April 2021.

Medicom is releasing a lottery figure set by Anraku Ansaku, Godzilla Vinyl Wars EX Godzilla & Mothra Larva. Godzilla is 26cm tall and Mothra is 14cm in length, and they will retail for 15,000 yen. Like the previous lotteries it will open Oct 24th to Nov 10th, on the Medicom Toy Blog.

Medicom has announced two more lottery figures Godzilla Vinyl Wars EX Soft Vinyl Life Classic Image Godzilla new color, and Godzilla Vinyl Wars EX Soft Vinyl Life Giant Flying Hedorah new color. Godzilla stands 24cm tall and will retail for 6,000 yen, Hedorah is 27cm in length and retails for 6,000 yen as well. You can enter both of these lotteries, which will open Oct 24th to Nov 10th, on the Medicom Toy Blog.

Medicom and Marusan have announced new lottery figures, from Medicom there is the CCP Burning Godzilla New Color, and Godzilla Vinyl Wars EX MCT Burning Godzilla, and from Marusan there is the Biollante Adult Beast Coloring 1st Edition Silver Eye Version, and Hedorah 450 Phosphorescent + Pink/Blue/Yellow Edition. The Medicoms are 23cm and 24cm tall, and retail for 7,000 yen and 12,000 yen respectively, the lottery will open Oct 24th to Nov 10th on the Medicom Toy Blog. The Marusan figures are approx 30cm tall each, and retail for 27,000 yen (Biollante), and 22,000 yen (Hedorah), both lotteries can be entered by emailing Marusan by writing in the subject line "POP-UP Asakusa 1024" (and figure) and the body text being "name, address, phone number". 

Medicom is releasing Godzilla lottery figures in association with Akashic Records, Burning Godzilla, and Godzilla 1966. Both are the same sculpts (by Ansaku Anraku) as previous releases but in different colors, Burning Godzilla has yellow highlights, Godzilla '66 features a red and blue coloring, both are 26cm tall, Burning Godzilla is 15,000 yen, Godzilla '66 is 12,000 yen. Both lotteries start tomorrow on the Medicom website and at the Shibuya Parco Pop in Tokyo.

CCP has announced the Artistic Monster Collection Hedorah Porcelain Versions and Godzilla Face Masks. The face masks feature designs based on Mothra and Mechagodzilla '74 (Mechanical Godzilla), each mask is 1,320 yen, and as a bonus the first 1,000 people that order two of the same mask will get a third one free, these will be released Dec 2020. The Hedorahs (colored to mimic porcelain figures), like previously released ones, come in three styles Landing, Adult, and Smoke Stack, 21cm, 26cm, and 19.5cm respectively in height, limited to 150, 100, and 200 pieces each respectively, and retail for 9,000 yen, 14,000 yen, and 13,000 yen respectively as an early order price (all will increase by 2,000 yen afterwards), these will each be released March/April 2021.

X-Plus has announced the Toho 30cm Series Megalon figure, which fans have eagerly been waiting for. This figure stands 32cm tall, and will retail for 22,000 yen (20,000 on the US site, the standard will retail for 20,350 yen), and the Ric is a mini flying Jet Jaguar (10cm in length). It is scheduled for a Jan 2021 release, it can be pre-ordered from X-Plus starting Oct 1st.
