Godzilla Sequel Hitting In 2018

It was announced today (which we posted on our Facebook page) that the sequel to this years mega hit Godzilla will be released on June 8th 2018, some may feel this is a long time between sequels there may be a few reasons for this. 

First there is the split between Warner Bros and Legendary, who's films will be released through Universal going forward, there maybe a time frame they have to wait, another reason is Gareth Edwards is make a Star Wars spin off first so they wouldn't start till after that is finished. 

There is also another reason, Pacific Rim which was released last year gave a boost in interest in monster (kaiju) movies and may have helped get fans get more excited for the Godzilla film this year, the sequel for Pacific Rim hits in 2017 (April 7th) and can again boost interest, sort of warming up the crowd if you will, before the Godzilla sequel hits.
