Here are a number of toys for the upcoming Kong: Skull Island from Lanard Toys via Smythstoys.com, below are pics and descriptions of the toys, warning possible spoilers. These should be released in mid Feb, prices will range from $20 to $45 approx. The human figures are approx 4 inches tall with Kong being 18 inches these are not in scale with each other based on the movie footage and quoted height as 100 feet.(Kong would be only 30 feet approx). But this Kong is close to the height of the Jakks Pacific Godzilla 2014 that was released (18 vs 21 inches tall).

Kaiyodo is releasing the Takeya Hebikera Figure Chakuirodori Version this figure is the same as the soon to be released Takeya Freely Figure Hebikera Iron Rust Edition just in a different color scheme. All specs and price are the same, the figure is sculpted by Fukumoto Tokuho, features articulated body, head, and wings, it is 405mm long (approx 16 inches), and comes with a base so can be posed in a number of ways and It retails for 12,800 yen (approx $125 US). Pre-orders for this figure should start soon with release in Oct 2016.

The figure is sculpted by Fukumoto Tokuho, features articulated body, head, and wings, it is 405mm long (approx 16 inches), and comes with a base so can be posed in a number of ways. It has a paint scheme that gives the appearance of rust on it's body. It retails for 12,800 yen (approx $125 US) with pre-orders starting now with release in Sept 2016 from Hobby Search and other retailers.

Medicom is releasing four Sofubi vinyl figures.King Gizara Sofubi Vinyl Figure (above left) this fearsome, scaly sofubi will keep your collection in line, and King Gajora Sofubi Vinyl Figure (above right) turn this horned, three-eyed devil loose upon your collection. These figures measure approximately 8 1/2-inches tall, and retail for $131.99 each. And below creator Anraku Ansaku unleashes these detailed, soft vinyl dragons! The Kaensekiryu Garachion Sofubi Vinyl Figure and Seikairyu Ryukisei Sofubi Vinyl Figure each measures approximately 12 1/2- long. They will retail for $237.99 each. Dinosaurs. We all know of them, many love them, and they've effected all of us in different ways at different ages. Through museums, books, movies, and toys, these mysterious beasts of prehistory have been a part of our lives for nearly two centuries. Our fascination of what they were like has lead us to re-imagine them in countless ways throughout the years, influenced by new scientific discoveries that constantly shape our view of how these animals lived and appeared. Today, museums, books, and movies provide more than you'll ever need for your dinosaur interests. However, if you like dinosaur toys... well, lets' just say it's time for an upgrade, or an evolution if you will.

​Beasts of the Mesozoic- what is it?

Beasts of the Mesozoic is a line of scientifically accurate, highly detailed, and articulated dinosaur action figures. Being a serious toy collector myself, I've seen great advancements in the toy market the past several years with innovative companies raising the bar of what's possible with detail, articulation, and value. However, despite my love for dinosaurs and for toys, my dinosaur toy shelf is surprisingly small compared to the other collections I have. Why? Well they simply haven't changed much at all in the past several decades and honestly aren't that good compared to other action figures. It just doesn't seem like you get much for your money. I for one am ready for some good dinosaur toys worthy of my shelf space and my money, aren't you?

Below you can check out a sample of the different stages of the project from concept art (first two pics below), package art (next three), stage one, stage two and final stage prototypes (next three), and painted prototype at the bottom. X-Plus is releasing Daiei Special Edition Daimajin, this limited resale figure was a DeAgostini exclusive. It's 25.5cm tall, features an extra arm with a chain, movable eyes, it will be released in May and retail for approx $108 US.
