Mondo is releasing a maquette of the monster from the film Colossal, the images give us our first good look at the monster. It looks somewhat humanoid, and insect, with many other elements (it's arms remind us of tree bark). It features a base and a Mondo exclusive signed Blu-ray, full details below.

Created using the actual digital model of the creature from the film, this maquette features screen-accurate details of the mysterious giant monster, and includes a display base depicting a street in Seoul, as it stomps though the city, as well as other more subtle hints as to the creature's link to Gloria.

In the film Colossal, written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, Gloria (Anne Hathaway) drinks too hard and parties too much. Her boyfriend has enough of it and throws her out. Gloria returns to her hometown, dreaming of making a new start, but instead revives her childhood friendship with Oscar, who now runs a bar. After drinking the night away with Oscar and his friends, she wakes up to discover a gigantic monster rampaging through Seoul, and realizes that somehow the monster is connected to her.

While not a technically a kaiju Trypticon is a dinosaur in one of his modes. For those that may not know Trypticon is a Decepticon city one of the largest Transformers, he is also a Triple Changer with three modes. This figure was the winner of a fan vote on Facebook to pick the next Titan class figure. Made by Takara-Tomy it stands 18 inches tall in dinosaur mode and nearly 3 feet wide in city mode, it can "eat" small Transformers that end up in his stomach which can be retrieved by opening the figures chest. It comes with Full-Tilt Transformer and a Headmaster. This figure will retail for approx $240 and will be available in August 2017.

Jurassic Park 1:5 Female T-Rex Bust
We are proud to offer for the first time the female T-Rex from Jurassic Park. This large 1:5 bust is 19" long and the base is roughly 16" in diameter. This is the perfect companion piece to our 1:5 Lost World Male T-rex.

This is not a modified male bust, this was molded and cast from an original Stan Winston casting provided by Jonathan Chu. Jonathan purchased this original production used bust and he loaned it to Chronicle to mold and restore. The result is this amazing T-Rex female bust.

The T-Rex was painted by Steve Riojas, one of the best dinosaur painters in the industry. We matched the original skin texture as close as possible to the Stan Winston 1-1 animatronic T-Rex.

Lanard Toys has provided Kaiju Battle with hi-res pics (including a cool progression pic of a Samuel Jackson figure) and more info on their Kong: Skull Island toys. Their goal is an exciting action figure line that’s fun and priced right so that every kid can afford to collect them all.  The line is going to be exclusively sold at Walmart stores in the USA and Smyths in the UK. Here are a number of toys for the upcoming Kong: Skull Island from Lanard Toys via Smythstoys.com, below are pics and descriptions of the toys, warning possible spoilers. These should be released in mid Feb, prices will range from $20 to $45 approx. The human figures are approx 4 inches tall with Kong being 18 inches these are not in scale with each other based on the movie footage and quoted height as 100 feet.(Kong would be only 30 feet approx). But this Kong is close to the height of the Jakks Pacific Godzilla 2014 that was released (18 vs 21 inches tall).

A bunch of Kong: Skull Island t-shirts have hit the web, most on ebay but they are listed as "official licensed" so they seem legit. Most are in sizes S- 5XL and retail for under $20. Check out all, or at least all we could find, they include all over print and a long sleeve one as well.

Trevco Sportswear is releasing a new T-shirt based on the upcoming Kong: Skull Island film, Trevco has previously released shirts based on the original King Kong (1933) film. The shirt is available in sizes S-XXL, S-XL will retail for $18.99 with the XXL retailing for $20.99. They will be released Feb 15 2017, from local comic shops through Diamond Comics as well as other retailers.

Medicom is releasing Giant Robo (2nd Stage) and GR2 Soft Vinyl Figures part of their Dream Rocket Factory series. These figures is 24cm tall (approx 9 inches) and will retail for 8,640 yen (approx $74 US). They is available for pre-order from the Medicom website with release in April 2017.
