King Kong was created by Merian C. Cooper, and Kong of Skull Island is grounded in artist/author Joe DeVito’s groundbreaking literary property Skull Island. BOOM! is partnering with DeVito Artworks LLC to present this story, exclusively authorized and endorsed by the Cooper family as their official King Kong/Skull Island prequel and sequel origin story. KONG OF SKULL ISLAND #7
Retail Price: $3.99 Writer: James Asmus Artist: Carlos Magno Cover Artist: Nick Robles Synopsis: Now an ongoing series! As the Kongs spread through Skull Island and begin to inhabit the land on their own from the humans, they will face its true horrors. Monty has had a busy few months but this might be the craziest of them all. Join our lovable duo as they stand up to the school bully and an angry movie usher. Oh, did we mention Santa Claus? We didn’t?! Well, the jolly old dude shows up and he’s got that tricky list of his. Does this mean coal for Monty? Only one way to find out.
As deathrunners and dinosaurs pick off the tribes, the only option is to wall themselves off from the monstrosities around them.
Kaijumax fugitive Electrogor makes his way home to the Aleutian Islands, where—he hopes—his children wait for him. But with the Science Police Team G.R.E.A.T. Satellite watching his every move, it’s a tense game of (technological) cat and (giant arthropoid) mouse. Meanwhile, the peaceful Mechazon is pushed to his limit by a surprising turn of events. Also: Murder! Sleazy acquaintances! Unpleasant truths! And… a single moment of happiness?
It’s a snake! It’s a flying lizard! It’s… both?
When we last left Hawkins and Joliet, they were about to become flying-snake food in the jungle of an unknown Pacific island. The creatures seem to be protecting their territory… and when Hawkins and Joliet make it back to the beach, their shipmate has turned one dug-up skeleton into a whole army of bones! The mysteries surrounding the island hit their peak when the Magellan is attacked by a shadowy creature too big to be human. It turns out that the flying snakes are just the beginning.
