Alice then wraps up Steve's bite and instructs her about how some snake bites cause hallucinating and hands her the kaiju detection device, and says the should keep moving, but not before Alice makes Steve promise that he won't die. As the battle between Godzilla and Ghidorah reigns on, Alice and Steve are confronted with a battle of their own from a pack of wolves. These two battles end with Steve and Godzilla triumphing over their opponents, though in Steve's case he didn't kill the wolves by himself as Mechagodzilla had blasted the pack with its lasers before Steve passed out. Synopsis for "Makoto's Last Stand"
In the prologue, Makoto Sato is dead and buried. He had vowed to save Tokyo even if it ended in his own death.

After Makoto took control of Mechagodzilla at the G-Force headquarters with his sons Koji and Jiro, they flew to downtown Tokyo, which was being decimated by giant monsters there as a result of the Elias' being away from their temple on Monster Island. While flying over the destruction, they see civilians who are still trapped in the city, and decide to turn around and help them. Mechagodzilla then attacked Godzilla, directing his attention away from a bus with civilians and instead toward it. Jiro was angered by this seemingly idiotic result, however Makoto says he had been counting on it: all they needed now was to reach Ryota Takahashi before Godzilla reached them.

At Takahashi's tower, Oshii informed Takahashi that the Prime Minister's cabinet had approved his ransom of tens of billions of yen, and said there was no longer a reason to keep having the monsters destroying the city. Takahashi however, selfishly said he didn't want to stop the mayhem as it made him the greatest daikaiju, and aimed his pistols at Kou and Oshii after they exclaimed that continuing would be madness. Right then, Mechagodzilla's head crashed into the tower. Makoto walked out and grabbed the Elias and asked his sons to meet him in the streets below. Takahashi had disappeared.

In the streets, Makoto contacted Jiro and Koji who asked them to clear a space for Mothra to land, but they were having trouble with Rodan. They warned Makoto that "the most dangerous monster" was heading toward him, and out of nowhere Takahashi appeared and fired multiple times against Makoto. As Takahashi monologued about his greatness and aimed his gun at Makoto to finish him off, Godzilla stepped on Takahashi intentionally and purposefully. Mothra landed nearby soon after and Makoto released them. All of the monsters stopped fighting and began retreating, following Mothra and the Elias back to Monster Island.

Makoto stood up, relieved, only to see Chief Nakamura holding him at gunpoint. Nakamura at first threatened to kill him but ended up becoming regretful for being bought off by Takahashi. In the moment, he spared Makoto and told him to leave and reflect on what he too had done.

Months later Tokyo was rebuilt, all the monsters were back on Monster Island, and balance was restored. Jiro and Koji visited Monster Island to see Makoto, who had become the new keeper of the Elias.
