The X-Plus Toho 30cm Series Godzilla 1954 vinyl figure has been spotted in the Godzilla 2014 editing suite!
It seems the original design was important to Godzilla 2014 director, Gareth Edwards. For the updated design, he wanted something that was derivative of the original. He asks us to imagine that the people in 1954 Japan saw his version of Godzilla and reported back with details of what they’ve seen. The result being the original 1954 design.
So for inspiration and reference, he chose none other than the X-Plus Godzilla 1954 vinyl figure to display in his editing suite. This is yet another tip of the hat toward X-Plus’ outstanding sculpts and attention to accuracy!
