Another Godzilla Anime pic has surfaced, this one seems to be an early concept pic from the translation of the post from the official Twitter page. He is the (Google Translate) translation: "Today I will show you the initial image rough sketch. It is what the production designer of this work, who served as art director in numerous masterpieces, painted at the beginning of the project. #Anigodzi" (Japanese text-【AJ2017まであと20日】「AnimeJapan 2017」REDステージ(3/26)に『GODZILLA』は登場! 本日は初期イメージラフスケッチをお見せします。数々の名作で美術監督を務めてきた本作のプロダクションデザイナーが企画初期に描いたものです。#anigodzi). Hopefully we get a full reveal at Anime Japan March 26 & 27.

A new concept image for the Godzilla Anime film was posted on Twitter, yes this is an official image this time, and it reveals this may be a futuristic film. It was posted with a message that suggests they will be post images/updates as a countdown to Anime Japan 2017 that happens in a month on March 25 and 26. There is set to be a specific event for the film on the Red stage there. More info as we get it.
The image above posted on Twitter by @sttcom3373 appears to be a concept image much like the one we posted previously except this one reveals Godzilla. There are definitely similarities between the two, the writing in the upper right is almost the same as the previous pic and this version of Godzilla seems to have Shin Godzilla vibe. One major concern is no Toho copyright on the image which the previous one has. More as we get it. Thanks to MyKaiju Godzilla for the find.
From Twitter, (translation) "@sttcom3373 Sorry to the contrary! This is just a delusive fan art .... I do not have any relationship with official.", actual Tweet is below.
When we posted about the Shin Godzilla Japanese Blu-ray release, and one of the Godzilla Store bonuses appeared to be an acrylic sheet but as it turns out it is actually a acrylic set of different versions of Godzilla and more in 1/800 scale. The set includes Godzilla '54, '84, GMK 2001, Burning Godzilla '95, Godzilla 2000 (1999), Final Wars Godzilla, and of course Shin Godzilla, it also comes with the Parliament building, back round, scale display, small name plates, and stands for all. The length of the back round is over 28 inches with a height of almost 6 inches, the monsters are in scale with each other with Shin Godzilla coming in at almost 6 inches and Godzilla '54 being about 1/2 to 1/3 the size. Check out the images courtesy of Dengeki Hobby.
Warner Bros is releasing a new line of Blu-rays/DVDs under the banner, Monster Mayhem. They include re-releases of King Kong 1933, Godzilla 2014, Pacific Rim, as well as two packs including Godzilla/Pacific Rim and King Kong/Son Of Kong. These are being released to help promote the MonsterVerse with Kong and Godzilla. These will be released in February and from what we know will include both Blu-ray and DVD discs but no new content. More info on these as we get it.
The Japanese site NitroPlus posted new info and a teaser (concept) image (above) for the upcoming Godzilla Animated film. Production and cast info as follows:
"A special stage of "GODZILLA", an animated feature film to be release in 2017. Meet the all-star voice actors who have played main rolls in many of the hit animes. Don't miss the chance to see what kind of characters they are going to play." Anime Japan is March 23-26 at Animate Hall (Animate Ikebukuro Headquarters Store 9F), Tokyo. More info as it becomes available. We have posted a few of the exclusives being offered with the Shin Godzilla Blu-ray release, Amazon Japan's Steelbook (above), 7 Eleven Japan's Kiryu figure, and the S.H. Shin Godzilla "bronze" figures. Now more have been revealed Chara-Ani's Godzilla Foot Type Powder Bead Cushion (no image), Sofmap's limited edition baseball hat, Tsutaya's T-card and tote bag set, Rakuten Book's t-shirt, and Lawson HMV's playing cards (no image). Prices on these bundles range based on 4K Blu-ray or regular Blu-ray set versions and by each release. Release dates are still the same for all. There was images for some of the items (below) but not all. Also of note with the Godzilla Store release there is a there is an acrylic standee set which we pictured but didn't note in our previous post. We will update with the missing items once we have images.
One adaption is his ability to absorb other life forms, his tail is the first evidence of this showing what appear to be other sea life.
going forward, they can fight us on more of an individual basis, one to one, where Godzilla can't, and allow Godzilla to continue to evolve even further. It's sort how we out lived the dinosaurs, we evolved to adapt better then they did. Godzilla maybe realize bigger isn't nessacarily better or that he needs to be more able to fight us.
Godzilla could be essentially making himself into a "God" like figure to his followers the human/Godzilla hybrids, "The Children Of Godzilla", his own race so to speak, what more perfect evolution could there be. We will just have to wait for the potential sequel to find out. Note: photos in this article are from variest Facebook pages. Amazon Japan will have a exclusive version of Shin Godzilla featuring a Steelbook case for both the 4K and 3 Disc Blu-ray Sets. It seems from the listing there isn't any difference in the content, 3 or 4 Blu-ray discs, promo sheets, ticket holders, etc. From the image is a sample it does appear to have images on the in and outside, and shows that it can hold 4 discs so it is possible it's the same case for both. Of note it does state that it is region free which means US fans can purchase and play the movie. It will retail for 10,584 yen (approx $90 US) for the 4K, and 8,424 yen (approx $72 US) for the 3 Disc Blu-ray.
7 Eleven Japan is having a promo with the release of Shin Godzilla, the Shin Godzilla/Seven Net Limited Mechagodzilla No. 2 Machine Ver. Set. The set include the same Blu-ray/DVD's that we previously showed but instead of the ticket for the S.H. MonsterArts special figure the set includes a Godvilla Vs Evangelion MechaGodzilla figure. The figure is a repainted version of the Bandai Movie Monster series figure (6 inches we believe). Prices are about 2,000 yen (approx $17 US) over just the movie by itself (but less then the price of the S.H. MonsterArts figure plus the movie). It can be pre-odered from the Japanese 7 Eleven site with the same March 22 release.
