X-Plus has officially announced the Godzilla Vs. Gigan Showdown Set, Gigan DefoReal, and a new Varan DefoReal color, which were shown at Wonder Festival. The Showdown set features updated versions of Godzilla (1971 version from 2017) and Gigan (from 2012), both stand 23cm tall, the set retails for 27,500 yen, is a Ric exclusive, and will be released May 2022. The DefoReal Gigan stands 15cm tall, the Ric features a light up visor, it will retail for 9,240 yen (standard 7,920 yen), and it will be released April 2022. Varan is a Poster Color Version is the same as the 2020 version with a new paint scheme, is a Ric exclusive, retails for 8,800 yen, and will be released August 2022.

The Godzilla Store has made a number of announcements of new and re-released merchandise. Gigan 50th Anniversary merchandise was announced including another Marusan Gigan Sparkle this one being purple sparkle, a Gigan Chibi Plush, various Gigan 50th Anniversary logo items including keychain, can badge, hard case, stickers, and two t-shirts. The figure is 23cm tall and retails for 13,200 yen, the plush is 16cm tall and retails for 2,420 yen, the other items retail between 440 yen up to 4,400 yen. Also announced was a new Godzilla board game by Arclight, Kaiju on the Earth LEGENDS "Godzilla", retailing for 6,930 yen, and two Marusan Godzilla figures, Marusan Godzilla 1989 Godzilla Store Limited Color Version, and Godzilla Store Limited Godzilla 1962 Marusan Classic Godzilla Plastic Model Image Color Version. They are 23cm and 22cm tall respectively, and 13,200 yen and 8,800 yen respectively. Most are releasing starting March and can be pre-ordered now. They were a number of X-Plus and Bandai Movie Monster Series re-releases announced some as lottery figures, some as regular sales (some of which have sold out already).

X-Plus as usual has blown us away at Wonder Festival, with tons of reveals and more. The biggest reveal was the FSL 30cm Series Godzilla Vs. Ebirah it is based on a Kaiju Freaks kit by Atsushi Asai, it will be approx. 50cm tall, 48,400 yen and be released July 2022. Another big reveal was a LMS Godzilla and Gigan set, both appear to be previously released figures with updated paint, etc., it will retail for 27,500 yen, and release is scheduled for May 2022. There was also a teaser for a 2019 King Ghidorah.

There was a number of DefoReals revealed, Godzilla 1973, Megalon, Gigan 1972, and Godzilla 1967 with Minya (infant), no release dates or prices were announced on those. A Godzilla 2003 was also shown, it appears to feature a close mouth and scared chest, no release date or price was announced for it. The Gigantic DefoReal Shin Godzilla was shown again this time it has release date and price, July 2022, and prices 29,150/27,500 yen (Ric/standard), and the Gamera model kit was shown again as well but no additional info was given. A Shin Ultraman model kit was revealed it features a base with electric tower, it's 22cm tall but no other info was given. 

Also shown was more Star Ace figures, Skeletons from Jason And The Argonauts which features one large full body Skeleton as well as a base with Skeletons coming out of the ground. They was also a new figure from a new line, Masterpiece Series Dejah Thoris originally from Edgar Rice Burroughs A Princess of Mars, it looks to be a scifi based line and this figure will be released in 2022. A Cyclops model kit was reveal it comes with a base with a person in a cage, as well as a new Wonders of the Wild Dunkleosteus, a prehistoric fish, no other info was given on these. There was two new colors of Space Cyclops revealed along with a child Space Cyclops and a teaser of something else to go along with them. There was other items previously shown including what maybe a second Metropolis robot. There was also a Version 2 Vampirella model kit (based on Jose Gonzalez art), along with the Version 1 regular and GID ones shown as well.

X-Plus is releasing the DefoReal Godzilla 1998 Night Color Version figure, an updated version of the figure released in 2019. This version features blue highlights, is a Ric exclusive, stands 13cm tall, and retails for 8,800 yen. It can be pre-ordered on the X-Plus Ric site (Japanese one only at the moment) with release scheduled for June 2022.

X-Plus is releasing the Jet Jaguar 1973 DefoReal figure, this figure stands 15cm tall, the Ric features light up eyes, it will retail for 8,800 yen for the Ric (8,000 yen on the US site), and 7,700 yen for the standard. It can be pre-ordered now from X-Plus (Ric) and other retailers (standard) with release scheduled for June 2022.

X-Plus is releasing the Gigantic Godzilla 1962 Soft Vinyl Kit Marusan Package Image Version, a kit version of the Gigantic 1962 previously released. The packaging for the figure is designed to replicate the Marusan packaging from 1964, this kit will stand 48cm tall and 48cm in length once assembled, it will retail for 18,182 yen on the US Ric site (20,000 yen on the Japanese site). It can be pre-ordered now with release scheduled for May 2022.

X-Plus has announced the Ric and standard versions of the Godzilla The Ride figure, the Godzilla Store version was previously announced. The Godzilla Store version features blue emissions fins, the standard has regular colored fins while the Ric has light up fins, other specs are the same, with the Ric retailing for 33,000 yen (30,000 yen on the US Ric site 31,350 yen for the standard) and it will release June 2022.

X-Plus was at Super Festival Extra Vol. 1 and as usual had a number of figure. They had the 2021 Kong prototype on display we learned it will be released May 2022, also on display was a 30cm Gamera 1966 prototype which also looked great, there was also a number of Ultraman figures King Maimai larva, Verokron, Regeneration Eleking, and more. There was two new, or potential new, lines a new smaller model kit line that will include a 11cm tall Gamera, and a Gigantic DefoReal line with the reveal of a Shin Godzilla. X-Plus is releasing via the Godzilla Store three new figures, the Toho 30cm Series Godzilla The Ride Godzilla Store Limited Edition, Toho 30cm Series Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection Godzilla 1954 Monster King Godzilla Godzilla Store Limited Reprint Suit Colored Version, and the Gigantic Series Mechagodzilla 1974 Godzilla Store Limited Gyokusendo Secret Base Color Version. The Godzilla The Ride figure is all new standing 31cm tall and 60cm in length, it retails for 33,000 yen, and will release May/June 2022. The Godzilla 1954 and Mechagodzilla are updates of previously released figures with the 1954 being a suit accurate coloring, while Mechagodzilla is based on the secret base coloring, both are the same specs as the previous versions with the 1954 retailing for 27,500 yen and Mecha retailing for 60,500 yen, both will be released April/May 2022.
