The Art of Godzilla Monster Painter Yuji Kaida Original Painting Exhibition start July 22nd and as with most events there are exclusive figures. US Toys will have figures which are the same sculpts from the Tokusatsu DNA Godzilla event, and the Shinji Nishikawa Original Painting Exhibition but in new colorways, they are all Yu-Esu Pocket Mini Soft Vinyl Bill Box Monster Series including First Godzilla, Kinggoji, Mosgoji, Biogoji, Mechagodzilla, Gigan, Hedorah, Baragon (standing), and Baragon (crawling). All stand between 8.5 and 9cm, and retail for 3,800 yen individually, there is also a set of pottery versions (white blanks) that will sell for 27,000 yen. These may be available on the Gallery 21 website but they are extremely limited.

Marusan is releasing three event figures at The Art Of Godzilla event which features art of Yuji Kaida (original paintings will be on display). There are two different Biollante 450 figures with slightly different color schemes and a Mechagodzilla 1974 figure. One Biollante is molded in clear vinyl the other in a glow in the dark vinyl, Mechagodzilla also glows in the dark, both Biollantes are 30cm tall, Mecha is 23cm tall, both Biollantes are 27,500 yen and Mecha is 11,000 yen. These maybe available from the Gallery 21 website here on July 22nd.

The Godzilla Store has announced their Limited Movie Monster Series Hedorah Retro Color Version. This figure stands 14cm tall, and 17cm in length, and will retail for 2,750 yen (it is unclear if this is a new or re-issued figure). It can be pre-ordered now from the Godzilla Store (and other resellers) with release scheduled for July 24th 2021.

Medicom has announced their next lottery figure the Godzilla Vinyl Wars EX Anraku Ansaku Burning Godzilla 4th Version. This version features gold glitter vinyl with with black coloring over it giving it a very cool look, it stands 26cm tall and will retail for 16,500 yen. The lottery will run from July 24th to August 10th on the Medicom website will the figure being released in Oct 2021.

Inspired by the 1964 film ‘Mothra vs. Godzilla’ , the massive moth measures 9” in length from wing to wing. Mothra features a flocked body and an articulated head and wings. The Shobijin Twins feature flocked shoulder capes and come complete with two different head portraits, two sets of interchangeable arms, and can join hands - allowing for a multitude of display options.
Mothra and the Shobijin Twins are packaged in a train case, just like the one seen in the film. Mothra’s display base can attach to the packaging so she can hover over the Shobijin twins.

CCP is releasing the Artistic Monsters Collection Hedorah Galaxy Version figures. There are three versions the Landing, Adult, and Smoke Stack (same sculpt as previous colored versions), all feature a unique space like coloring, they are 21cm, 26cm, and 19.5cm tall each respectively, they are limited to 150, 100, and 200 respectively, and they retail for 9,000, 14,000, and 13,000 yen (tax included) respectively. They can be pre-ordered now on the CCP website as well as Kaiju Live, and will be released Dec 2021 or later.

The US Toys figures are the same sculpts from the Shinji Nishikawa Original Painting Exhibition but in clear Aurora colors they are all Yu-Esu Pocket Mini Soft Vinyl Bill Box Monster Series including First Godzilla, Kinggoji, Mosgoji, Biogoji, Mechagodzilla, Gigan, Hedorah, Baragon (standing), and Baragon (crawling). All have different color tints, stand between 8.5 and 9cm, and retail for 3,800. The Bullmark figures include Monster Series Godzilla 50, Mechagodzilla (two colors), Hedorah (two colors), Gigan, Gezora, and Ganimes, as well as Monster Series Mini 4 figure set, they range between 10 and 23cm tall, and retail between 7,000 to 10,000 yen.

22Toys is releasing the Soft Vinyl Taro Series Tako Kong lottery figures. Both figures are a unique design featuring Kong with the giant Octopus on his head (from the fight scene in King Kong Vs. Godzilla), it comes in two styles a pink vinyl version, and a clear "Aurora" version, both are 12cm tall, and retail for 3,980 yen for the pink, and 4,200 yen for the clear. The lottery will be on July 2nd on their social media channels (Facebook, Twitter).

New collectibles and mechandise has been announced for the Shinji Nishikawa Original Painting Exhibition Godzilla II Hyakusho at Gallery 21 Tokyo. The items include art prints, t-shirts, figures, and more, below is just a sample of some of the items available. The figures include US Toys Bill Box figures, a Marusan figure (posted on our Facebook page), another interesting item are maps of Godzilla's battles with both a Showa and Heisei version being available. Mondo has been teasing their Mothra statue for sometime now we have official pics via Gizmodo as well as two new posters. The statue is 16 inches tall and 19 inches wide (wingspan), two versions will be available a limited edition, limited to 300, and the regular version retailing for $395 and $375 respectively, the limited edition features two eggs one with Mothra larva one without, the regular version has only has the one without. It is sculpted by Matt Black, designed by Ian MacDonald, and painted by Hector Arce. The posters designed by Tom Whalen, in similar style to his previous posters and he also did the box for the Mothra statue, are 24 inches by 36 inches, comes in two versions English (limited to 225) and Japanese (limited to 125), and will retail for $55 and $75 respectively. All go on sale tomorrow with the figure being 12 noon EST, the posters 1 PM EST at MondoShop.com.
