X-Plus is releasing the DefoReal Godzilla 2023 Heat Ray Radiation Version figure. This figure is based on the previously released version with new head and arms, it is 15cm tall, features blue highlights on the mouth and fins, and it retails for 12,100 yen. It can be pre-ordered now from X-Plus (Japan) and should be up on the North American website soon with release scheduled for Feb 2025.

Godzilla The Art By Parco Vol.4 is being held Nov 29th to Dec 16th 2024 at the Parco Museum Tokyo, and as with the prevois events there is exclusive figures, and merchandise.

The artists for this event include Roby Dwi Antono, Hiroki Tsukuda, Ryuichi Ohira, James Jarvis, and Tadanobu Asano, all have created unique artworks with Godzilla as a motif, reflecting their own thoughts and unique perspectives on Godzilla. The key visual for this exhibition was created by Tetsuya Nakamura, items from many Godzilla films will be on display as well. 

The commemorative figure for this event is Movie Monster Series Godzilla 1968 Nakamura Tetsuya Version which retails for 5,500 yen, previous figures including the X-Plus Godzilla Minus One and Godzilla 1954 Template Version will also be available. A number of other items will be available including key chains, magnets, pass case, postcards, tote bags, shirts, and posters (all below).

Tetsuya Nakamura
Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1968, he studied lacquer art at the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School.

Since then, he has been focusing on the information that visual information can provide to living organisms.

I have produced a variety of sculptures.

Nakamura began to develop an affinity and understanding for Godzilla as a modeler in his high school days. During his student days, while studying arts and crafts, Nakamura came into contact with many Buddhist statues and discovered commonalities between the changes in style of Japanese Buddhist art and the changes in Godzilla's shape, which further deepened his interest.

It is said that Godzilla from the 1964 film "Mothra vs. Godzilla" can be compared to a Buddhist statue from the Heian period, and that the ideal form of Godzilla was perfected after that. This time, Nakamura will create the 1964 Godzilla and King Ghidorah.

Ryuichi Ohira
Born in Tokyo in 1982 and raised in Chiba, he received his doctorate from the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School in 2011.

"Godzilla has been the representative of absurdity for me since I was a child, and has also been an entity that gives me a certain kind of 'awakening.' Godzilla suddenly appears in our daily lives without any purpose, and then disappears. This time, I have likened Godzilla to a hammer, a motif that symbolizes an absurd existence.

"I can't express it well in words, but I thought that "Godzilla and the Hammer" was the perfect fit, so I decided to create it. Life is a series of absurdities. There may seem to be a consistency between what happened a few seconds ago and what happens a few seconds later, but there is no consistency. So we have no choice but to love absurdity. I created Godzilla Hammer to love reasonless destruction and creation, and absurd death and life," Ohira said.

James Jarvis
Born in 1970, James Jarvis is a London-based artist who has worked as an illustrator and character designer.

His artistic style is widely recognized and appreciated in Japan. He ran a company called "Amos" with SILAS co-founder Russell Waterman from 2003 to 2013, and has recently collaborated with many global brands such as NIKE, UNIQLO, IKEA, and adidas.

This time, James will be exhibiting a series of Godzilla works, drawn in a free style on paper, displayed in clipboard style.

Haroshi
Since 2003, he has been creating unique sculptures and installations using recycled skateboard decks.

Haroshi's work in this exhibition is inspired by the scene in which the original Godzilla first appeared. The work is made using discarded skateboards, with Godzilla's teeth carved out of urethane wheels (tires) from skateboards that the artist himself had used. The phenomenon in which skateboard wheels get stuck in the deck is called "wheel bite," and inspired by this term, Haroshi has created Godzilla's teeth out of wheels, attempting to recreate a "wheel bite." The yellowing of the teeth reflects the color of the wheels that have actually been burned by the sun while using a skateboard.

Oliver Payne
Since the late 1990s, as a collaborative artist with Nick Ralph, he has been actively creating video works and installation pieces based on street culture such as skate, hardcore music, punk, and graffiti.

For this exhibition, Oliver was so inspired by the sounds of the 1954 Godzilla film that he decided to use them to create a harsh noise piece.

"It was exciting to create noise music using sounds from Godzilla movies, and to release it in Japan, a country where noise music is so well developed. I produced this with the help of my friend David Scott Stone, who has produced sounds for Merzbow, Masonna, Melvins, and others," says Oliver.

Fujimi is releasing the ​Chibimaru King Ghidorah 1991 70th Anniversary Version Luxury Plating Kit. This is the same kit previously released but with a gold plating, plastic snap fit, stickers included, and serial numbered, limited to 1,000 pieces. It can be pre-ordered now from multiple retailers with release scheduled for Feb 2025.

Bandai is releasing the S.H. MonsterArts Anguirus 1972 figure, from Godzilla Vs. Gigan. This figure stands 9cm tall (on all fours), and is 36cm in length, and retails for 16,500 yen. It can be pre-ordered from Bandai starting Nov 8th with release scheduled for May 2025.

Bandai is releasing the Movie Monster Series Jet Jaguar Godzilla Fest Special Edition Set, based on the short film shown on Godzilla Day 2024. This figure stands 17.5 cm tall, features G-Claw arm parts, thumbs up arm parts, and it retails for 4,000 yen. It can be pre-ordered from Bandai with release scheduled for May 2025. Note this may be available from other retailers as well.

The Godzilla Store US is releasing the X-Plus 30cm Series Gigan 50th Anniversary figure, based on the suit created by the Gigan 50th Anniversary Gigan Suit Activation Project (crowdfunding project), and reward for the same project. This figure stands 11.81 inches tall, and retails for $350. It can be pre-ordered now with release scheduled for Jan 2025. 

Bandai is releasing the Godzilla Vinyl Art Burning Collection Godzilla 1995 Frog Tree 250 figures. Two versions are available, Normal and Burning Red, they are 24cm tall and 25cm in length (front to back), both are designed by Japanese artist Frog Tree, they limited number, and retail for 33,000, and 35,000 yen respectively. They are available for pre-order now with release scheduled for Jan 2025.

X-Plus is releasing the Large Monster Series King Caesar Fierce Fighting Color Version and DefoReal Space Godzilla Final Battle Version figures. Both were released previously with different versions (2013 and 2020 respectively), King Caesar is 24cm tall, features light up eyes, and retails for 19,800 yen ($144.99 on the X-Plus North American site). Space Godzilla is 14cm tall, features light up horn, eyes, and crystals, and retails for 13,750 yen ($99.99 on the X-Plus North American site). They can be pre-ordered now on both sites with releases scheduled for Feb/March 2025, and March/May 2025 respectively.

CCP is releasing the Middle Size Series Godzilla EX 6th Edition figures, this series is highlighted by new Mothra figures. This series includes CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla EX 6th Edition Mothra 1992 Standard Version, CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla EX 6th Edition Mothra 1992 Clear Blue Pink Version, CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla EX 6th Edition Mechagodzilla 2002 Black Version, CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla EX 6th Edition Space Godzilla Battle Damage Version, CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla EX 6th Edition Mechagodzilla 1974 Transformation Image Version, CCP Middle Size Series Godzilla EX 6th Edition Mechagodzilla 1974 Space Titanium Image Version. These figures stand approx. 13cm tall except Mothra which has a 15cm wingspan, and will retail for approx. 5,280 yen, they will be available for pre-ordered from multiple retailers with release scheduled for April 2025.
