Kotobukiya is releasing the Godzilla vs Evangelion EVA-01 Test Type Godzilla Color Ver. Plastic Model, this model kit is a reverse design of previous releases that have use the Evangelion colors on Godzilla figures. While this is a model kit it features multiple points of articulation and interchangeable parts and is designed by Yuichi Kuwamura, and Shoei Chiba. It is approx 7.5 inches tall, will retail for approx $64 US, and will be released in Nov 2016 from AmiAmi and other retailers.

We posted some Marusan September Jet Black Object releases and now two more have been announced, Varan '58, and Gigan '72. These are smaller than the previously announced figures 23cm tall (approx 9 inches). They will run approx $52 US, they can be pre-ordered now and will be available in Sept 2016 from Marusan here.

Marusan is releasing three figures in Sept for there Jet Black Object 450 collection, one new and two re-releases. The new figure is Baragon '66, the re-releases are Godzilla '66 and Giant Gorilla (King Kong) '67. All three figures are 300mm scale (approx 12 inches), will retail for approx $120 US, with pre-orders now and a Sept 2016 release from Hobby Search and other retailers.

X-Plus is releasing the Gigantic Yuji Sakai Godzilla 1954 this is a Ric Boy limited release but will be available through Bandai Premium and DeAgostini as well. This figure has been teased for a while is sculpted by the master Yuji Sakai, it stands 44cm tall and 75cm in length. It comes with a 12cm name plate that features a mini Godzilla '54 bust with train in mouth. This figure will retail for 49,896 yen (approx $486 US). Pre-orders start now with release in Oct 2016.

Medicom is releasing the Godzilla Vinyl Wars EX Megaton Godzilla sofubi, this figure stands nearly 20 inches tall featuring a black and gold color scheme. It will retail for approx $295 US, pre-orders start now through a number of Japanese online retailers with release scheduled for Oct 2016.

S.H. MonsterArts revealed their Shin Godzilla figure recently now we have the official pics and info, the figure stands 18cm tall and 40cm in length making it the biggest figure they have released. It's sculpted by Takayuki Takeya, Ihara Minamotozo, Masaaki Koseki, Atsushi Hagiwara and feature multiple point of articulation. It will retail for approx $127 US and will be released in Nov 2016.

It was revealed early on in the promotion of Shin Godzilla that there would be a lottery of a number of movie related items, some of those items have been revealed previously, we now have pics of all the items courtesy of Dengeki Hobby Web. Some of these items are being sold as well while other are lottery exclusive items. As we posted previously Bandai is releasing the King Monster series Shin Godzilla, we previously post pics of the Movie Monster series version, and we now see there is a difference between the two. The larger scale King series version (above), approx 11 inches tall, features more red highlights and a slightly rougher appearance than the Movie series figure (below, approx 6 inches tall). The King series figure will retail for approx $46 US and is scheduled for release in August along with two other figure Final Wars Godzilla and Kiryu. X-Plus is releasing Kamacuras, this figure is 16.5cm tall, 30cm long, and 27cm wide. It has a movable right arm, and head to pose the figure and pedestal . Pre-orders start now with release being in July and it will retail for approx $88 US through Hobby Search, AmiAmi, and others. The Ric Boy is a three piece set of these figures and will retail for approx $191 US through X-Plus.
X-Plus is releasing MechaGodzilla '75 this figure stands 30cm tall, and features an opening chest weapon, the Ric Boy version also has additional features includes removable head and brain unit with light up feature (bottom pic). Pre-orders start now with release being in July and it will retail for approx $177 US through Hobby Search, AmiAmi, and others, the Ric will be approx $220 US through X-Plus.

30cm Series Yuji Sakai Godzilla 1989
Diamond Distributors just announced the continuation of their US releases with the announcement of the 30cm Series Yuji Sakai Godzilla 1989 and 1991 X-Plus figures in the U.S. and Canada. Done by master Godzilla sculptor Yuji Sakai these will run a bit more then the regular figures, approx $230 US. The '89 is scheduled for release in Feb 2017 and the '91 for April 2017. These are in addition to the previously announced Diamond X-Plus Godzilla 1984, 1992, 1999 and 2004 figures . Those are being released Nov 2016, Jan 2017, Mar 2017, and May 2017 respectively for $160 US each. Some info and pics courtesy of Kaiju Addicts.
