Kaiyodo will be offering a limited Winter Wonder Festival Exclusive Shin Godzilla 4th Form Kit as well as showing off their 5th Form Prototype (possible figure or kit). The 4th form vinyl kit is 52cm tall (approx 20 inches) and limited to 360 pieces, it will retail for 60,000 yen (approx $532 US). The 5th form, basically his tail at the end of the film, will be shown (teaser pics above and bottom). More info on the 5th form as we get it. Both will be at the Evangelion Store booth at the show. Wonder Festival is Feb 19, 2017 at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall.

X-Plus surprise us by posting a blacked out banner that reveals GMK Ghidorah, it appears to be a Large Monster Series figure and one that has not been shown at any shows or cons. X-Plus also blacked out the Kaiser Ghidorah banner apparently because it is delay. It is said these both appear to be based on non-X-Plus kits released in the past. More info as we get it.

Chara-Ani is releasing more Kaiju Netsuke figures, Shin Godzilla Final Form, Shin Godzilla Second Form, and Godzilla 1962. These deformed style figures stand 60mm tall (a little over 2 inches), they come with a collectible wood box and name plate (w/ring to attach to a key chain). They retail for 10,800 yen (approx $94 US), yes they are not cheap for their size. Pre-orders start now with release in March 2017 from Hobby Search and other retailers.

X-Plus official revealed their Large Monster Series Kaiser Ghidorah and 30cm Series Godzilla 1995 (both have been shown at cons). There isn't much info being X-Plus is in the middle of reworking their website, banners were posted on it's front page and full figure reveal pics were posted on Twitter. Kaiser Ghidorah is the fully colored figure while Godzilla '95 is an unpainted prototype. We will update will more pics and info as we get it. Update: X-Plus updated the Godzilla 1995 banner with a color pic of the figure.

Hobby Japan is releasing an art book called Godzilla Resurgence (Shin Godzilla) Zoukei Sakuhinshuu, based on the listing the book is mainly about custom figures (actual listing below). It is an A4 size book that will retail for 3,024 yen (approx $26 US) and will be released in March. It can be pre-ordered now from AmiAmi and other retailers.

Art Spirits has showed off a new figure, Shin Godzilla. There isn't to many details yet but is seems they are shooting for a June release with a price of approx 20,ooo yen (approx $175 US) and it seems it will have a second head. Their previous Godzilla figures released were 20cm and retailed for approx 10,000 yen so this figure could be larger. More details as we receive them.

Bandai Premium is re-releasing two S.H. MonsterArts figures the Mecha King Ghidorah and Godzilla 2000 Special Color Version. Both are the same figures previously released (including any accessories this time it is a limited "lottery" sale through the Tamashii Web Shop. Pre-order for these figures is from now till Feb 21 with release in March. Check out our Figure Database for original release info here.

The above pic showed up online today via Toho Kingdom (not sure where it came from before that), while it does seem to be an updated version one key thing is missing in the pic, his tail. The original version seemed to have too short of a tail compared to other companies figures and the film. More info as we get it.

S.H. MonsterArts showed off the Shin Godzilla Awakening Version a few days ago now here is the official pic and info. This appears to be the same figure previously released but with a different color scheme as well as effects and interchangable parts. It features a extra head and extra tail, effects include a beam for both the mouth and tail, two different breath effects and a stand for the effects. It's 18cm tall and 40cm long, and will retail for 15,984 yen. It can be pre-ordered now from the Bandai Premium Webshop with release in July.
