X-Plus is releasing the Favorite Sculptors Line Great Battle of the South Sea Godzilla vs. Ebirah Set (Ebirah, Horror of the Deep Godzilla & Ebirah Set). The set originally shown at Wonder Festival is designed by Asai Zoukei (Atsushi Asai), it stands 48cm tall, comes with base and stand (to hold Ebirah), is a Ric exclusive, and will retail for 48,400 yen (44,000 yen on the US site). It can be pre-ordered now with release scheduled for August 2022.

Monogram has announced new Godzilla merchandise this includes a Mechagodzilla bank, bag clips, magnet, and keychain. The bank is chibi style, standing 8 inches tall, and retails for $24.99. The bag clips are classic Godzilla/Toho, and include Dr. Serizawa in diving suit, a number of classic kaiju and a Godzilla Tower!, a case pack retails for $143.99. Also coming is a Godzilla 2001 GMK magnet, and a Pewter Keychain, they are $4.99 and $7.99 respectively. All will be released between June and October from retailers like Entertainment Earth.

Yamakichi has announced the Matango Phase 2 Color Figure, the second color version of this figure. The first version featured different shades of brown where this second version features a yellow, red, and green color scheme, this figure stands 26.6cm tall, and retails for 15,400 yen. It will go up for pre-order April 8th will release scheduled for late April and can be purchased in the US.

Buckle up ... this Thursday, April 7th is going to be big, especially if you're a fan of giant kaiju and kings of monsters. We've got some new TOHO releases dropping at various times this Thursday, that we're so excited to share with you all.

First up, we have a pair of new posters from two of the very best. Kazuki Ōmori's GODZILLA VS. BIOLLANTE is one of our favorite Godzilla films, and Tom Whalen has delivered artwork worthy of the giant rose monster made up of plant DNA, Godzilla's chromosomes, and the cells of a grief-stricken scientist's deceased daughter. To put it simply, Tom destroyed this.

Two versions are available this week, with a special third version to be released later this year.

Additionally, we're thrilled to continue Attack Peter's titanic exploration of Godzilla's Showa Era with a beautiful new linocut poster for the second film in the iconic filmography: Motoyoshi Oda's GODZILLA RAIDS AGAIN.

All posters will be releasing tomorrow at 11AM CT, as always on The Drop.

On the Toys & Collectibles side of things, we have even more TOHO Soft Vinyl ahead, starting with Thursday's release: the first in our line of JET JAGUAR figures, featuring a colorway inspired by the seminal GODZILLA VS. MEGALON.

Bandai is releasing the Ultimate Luminous Mechagodzilla 1974 figure, the first Godzilla releated figure in this line. Like other Ultimate Luminous figure it features a unit to light up Mechagodzilla's eyes, it is also made of soft vinyl with some articulation for the hands, shoulders and legs. It stands 14.5cm tall, and retails for 7,400 yen, it can be pre-ordered now from Bandai with release scheduled for Aug 2022.

A new promotion has been announced between the Hanshin Tigers and Godzilla, which will have some ballpark themed promos as well as merchandise. The Godzilla Store has some of these items available now, these include t-shirts, key chains, stickers, a figure, and much more. There are different designs including a logo design, ones featuring players on the team, and even Hamtaro themed items (including the figure, with most under $35. Check out some here and the full assortment on the Godzilla Store website.

The Godzilla Store is releasing a number of Hedorah exclusive figures and another figure as well. The Hedorahs are the Godzilla Store Limited Marusan Hedorah Painted by Takashi Yoshisaka Red Version, Godzilla Store Limited Marusan Hedorah Painted by Takashi Yoshisaka Silver Version, Godzilla Store Limited Hedorah Luminous Set (which look to be Marusan as well), and the Godzilla Store Limited Jet Jaguar Luminous Version (possibly Marusan as well). The first two are both metallic paint, stand 23cm tall, retail for 16,500 yen, they can be ordered now with release in April 2022 (the red already appears sold out). The Hedorah set includes Adult, Landing, Flight, Underwater, and Tadpole versions, height/length are as follows, 23cm, 20 cm, 16 cm, 16cm, and 6 cm respectively, the set retails for 29,700 yen, they can be ordered now with the release dates, March, June, and July 2022. Jet Jaguar is 30cm tall, retails for 22,000 yen, can be ordered now with release June/July 2022.

Bandai is releasing the ​Monster Extra Land Godzilla Hamtaro & Godzilla 2001 figure, and unique collectible. This set includes a GMK Godzilla figure and a second head with Hamtaro in his mouth, it stands 22cm tall, has limited articulation, and retails for 9,350 yen (tax included). It can be pre-ordered now from Bandai with release scheduled for August 2022. (Note the Bandai site appears to be blocking international viewers from viewing their site unfortunately.)

A new collaboration has been announced between WASK (Wee Aged Saucy Kid) and Toho with new Godzilla t-shirts. Four styles/colors are available, two with outline designs of Godzilla and Ghidorah each in a different color shirt, and a full color design on two different color shirts, all are 100% cotton, and come in sizes S to LL (XL) kids sizes. Each shirt is 4,950 yen, and available on the Bebe Mall website.

X-Plus has announced three new figures, the DefoReal Godzilla 1973, DefoReal Titanosaurus, and Toho Maniacs Dr. Serizawa. Godzilla stands 13cm tall, the Ric comes with replacement lower jaw and left arm, and it retails for 9,240 yen for the Ric (8,400 yen on the US site), and 7,700 yen for the standard. Titanosaurus stands 17cm tall, the Ric comes with replacement left arm and tail, it retails for 11,000 yen for the Ric, and 9,350 yen for the standard. Dr. Serizawa is a Ric exclusive, stands 16cm tall, and retails for 6,985 yen. Dr. Serizawa and Titanosaurus will be on the US site at a later date, they can all be pre-ordered now (Japanese site), with release scheduled for Sept 2022.
