Bandai/Tamashii is releasing the Soul Of Chogokin GX-103 MFS-3 Type 3 Machine Dragon figure. This figure is made of ABS, PVC, and die-cast, it stands 23cm tall, it includes two replacement eye parts, back unit (Type 0 railgun left and right), replacement maser with blade x 2, replacement damage reproduction parts (chest, right arm), Akane Ieshiro mini figure, base/hangar for figure and back unit, various suspension joints, LR41 x 5 (with test battery) for light up features (chest, eyes), and this figure retails for 35,200 yen. Pre-orders will begin Dec 1st at general retailers with release scheduled for May 2023.

X-Plus is releasing the Toho Large Monsters Series Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection Godzilla 2000 Millennium Stationery Examination Model Version Ric Edition. This figure stands 25cm tall and is 50cm in length, it features light up fins, and will retail for 29,150 yen, It can be pre-ordered from X-Plus with release scheduled for June 2023. This is the same figure as the Godzilla Store version but with the light up. Update, there is a standard version as well without the light up (the fins are a less bright blue color from the Godzilla Store version), it retails for 27,500 yen from general retailers.

Mondo has announced the release of the Matango and Rebirth Of Mothra Vinyl LP's, shown at Designer Con. All are limited to 2,000 copies each, retail for $35 each, and are available on Mondo's website here. Check out the details and images below.

"Have you ever been walking in a forest and stopped to try some fruit growing on a tree or bush? You may think twice after MATANGO, a tense psychological horror from Ishirō Honda, director of GODZILLA (1954). Released in Japan in 1963 to immediate controversy over the similarity of the makeup effects to the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, MATANGO is about a group of men and women driven to violence and murder after being shipwrecked, only for them to fall victim to the horrifying mutated monsters that inhabit the island they discover.

Released overseas under the titles ATTACK OF THE MUSHROOM PEOPLE and FUNGUS OF TERROR, MATANGO's eerie musical score was composed by Japanese classical composer Sadao Bekku and is as hypnotic and surreal as the film's shocking climactic sequences. Bekku's music takes much of its inspiration from jazz, from the irreverence of a cue for the shipwrecking storm to the haunting trumpet that hails the first sight of the desolate island. Much of the score is about form, colour and texture, and it often offers dissonant patches that wind up the tension between the men and women and snakey woodwinds that highlight the insidious nature of the island's true inhabitants. MATANGO is a masterpiece."

A threatening brass march for Dagahra expresses his vicious might, while a gorgeously ethereal and somewhat melancholic theme represents Princess Yuma and the ancient kingdom of the Nilai-Kanai. But the best is saved for last, a beautifully versatile theme for the creature Ghogo that encapsulates what Mothra as a character is all about: loving and protecting the Earth."

"Mothra 3 The trilogy ends! Everyone's favourite Lepidopteran defender of Earth returns for a humongous climactic battle in REBIRTH OF MOTHRA III, this time fighting the Toho universe's greatest villain: King Ghidorah! Directed by Okihiro Yoneda, the picture sees Mothra Leo and the Elias sisters join forces with a young boy after Ghidorah kidnaps hundreds of children so he can siphon off their power. Ghidorah himself is given a suitably malevolent motif for low brass, but Watanabe brings back his triumphant Mothra theme in spectacular fashion as our hero is reborn as Armor Mothra, bringing a sensational musical end to the trilogy. Medicom is releasing the Godzilla & Mothra's Larva Season 3 Lottery figures. ​This Anraku Ansaku blue colored set are 26cm tall for Godzilla and 14cm in length for Mothra, and it will retail for 16,500 yen. Like with previous lottery figures the lottery will run from Nov 24th to Dec 10th on the Medicom website.

Tanaka Studio is releasing the Shin Godzilla 4th Form Version 2 Bust Kit, an updated version of their Shin Godzilla Bust. This unpainted and unassembled garage kit stands 30cm tall once assembled, it is 27 pieces in ivory resin, and it retails for 48,400 yen. It can be pre-ordered now till Nov 27th with release scheduled for Jan/Feb 2023. (Painted prototype shown.)

Marusan has announced their Super Festival Extra Vol. 5 figures and they include the Godzilla 1989 350 GID Version, and Mechagodzilla 350 Clear Version. Godzilla has a glow in the dark body with black spray and purple highlights, Mechagodzilla is clear with different colors sprays on different versions, all are 23cm tall, and retail for 13,200 yen each. Super Festival Extra Vol. 5 is Sunday Nov 13, in Tokyo.

Bait and Medicom have announced the Bait x Medicom Godzilla Final Scene Statues which have had the Godzilla fandom a buzz. There are two versions a Black version and Gray version, the black version is black and white, while the gray is in color, both are the same sculpt featuring Godzilla as he is being dissolved by the Oxygen Destroyer, with one side being mostly intact and the other side being his skeleton. Both come with three sea floor sections. It stands 50cm tall, it looks to be made of vinyl, and it retails for $1,300 and can ship to the US.
