Marusan continues to celebrate their 95th Anniversary with more releases, they include King Ghidorah Poster Edition, Giant Gorilla (Kong) Silver & White Version, Giant Gorilla and Hedorah 450 Trial Versions, Super Festival Mechagodzillas limited resale; Godzilla '71, Hedorah '71, and Ganimes with mini figures. Ghidorah is a metallic orange, stands 30cm tall, and will be released at Marsan Toy Festival (June 23-24) and retails for 17,280 yen. Giant Gorilla Silver & White stands 28cm tall and retails for 17,280 yen. Giant Gorilla Trial Version is the same figure but in a beige color and retails for 12,960 yen. Hedorah Trial Version (also beige in color) is 30cm tall and retails 12,960 yen. The Mechagodzillas are a resale of the three colors available at Super Festival 77 in which there is a random color (lucky bag), they are 30cm tall and retail for 16,200 yen. Godzilla '71, Hedorah '71, and Ganimes all comes with mini mystery figures as with some previously shown figure (4 each with Godzilla & Hedorah, 2 with Ganimes), each retails for 10,800 yen. X-Plus is releasing the Toho 30cm Series Mogera figure, they have shown this figure multiple times (unpainted and painted) at shows previously. This figure stands 30cm tall, the Ric version includes light up eyes and chest maser. The Ric retails for 24,840 yen, the standard is 22,680 yen, both can be pre-ordered now with release scheduled for June 2018.

Sega is releasing two new prize items (for vending machines) both for the Godzilla Anime sequel (Fixed Battle Mobile Proliferation City), they include a Jumbo Plush (above & below) and Summer Blanket (bottom). The Plush is approx 34cm tall and 50cm in length (approx 13 inches/20 inches). The Blanket (beach blanket?) is 100cm x 140cm (approx 39 inches x 55 inches). Both will hit prize machines in Japan late May 2018.

Marusan has four Super Festival 77 exclusives (already held in Japan), Hedorah Metarica Star Eyes, Mechagodzilla 450 Lucky Bag, Hedorah 450 Beige Test Version Unpainted, and Giant Gorilla '67 (Kong) 450 Beige Test Version Unpainted. Hedorah Star Eyes features a metallic paint scheme, stands 24cm tall, and retails for 10,800 yen. Mechagodzilla comes in three clear colors with metallic highlights (in a blind/random single figure pack), it stands 30cm tall, and retails for 16,200 yen. Both Hedorah 450 and Giant Gorilla 450 stand 30cm tall and retail for 12,960 yen. All were available in limited quantities.

X-Plus has announced three new releases LMS Mothra '64 DX Set, Frankenstein, and Rodan '65 resale, all are Ric (X-Plus) exclusives. The Mothra Set inclcudes the '64 Mothra previously released in May 2015 and two larva that were released with Godzilla in Feb 2012, it also has a base and stand that originally came with '61 version of Mothra in June 2012. The adult Mothra has light up eyes, is 38cm high and has a 65cm wingspan, and the set will retail for 24,840 yen. Frankenstein, which is basically a set too, comes with movable eyes, replacement arms to hold Dr. Kawaji (also included), Baragon (same as previously released '65 version) and a base w/strut. Frankenstein is 23cm tall and Baragon is 25cm in length, it retails for 30,240 yen. Rodan is a re-release and comes with a small flying Rodan figure, Rodan is 25cm tall and 44cm wingspan, and will retail for 14,580 yen. All can be pre-ordered from X-Plus with release scheduled for June 2018.

Bandai is releasing a number of new Movie Monster Series figures, some have been released in some form in the past, they include Godzilla Earth Heat Ray Radiation Version, Mecha King Ghidorah, Mothra Larva and Adult versions, Rodan (GFW), and Gigan (1972). These figures range in size from approx 6 inches to about 9.5 inches, and will retail for approx $15 to $25 US. All but Rodan and Gigan will be released late April 2018, those two are scheduled for Sept 2018. They can be pre-ordered from a number of retailers and Mike Johnson (via Facebook).

Tanaka Studio/Tanaka Kenichi is releasing their Godzilla Earth resin kit, this kit looks great and differs from most previously released figures. This kit stands 35cm tall and will retail for 43,000 yen (approx $400 US, 46,440 yen including tax). This kit will be sold at Kaiju World Festival Vol. 4 in Japan April 22, 2018 and the Tanaka Studio website here.
