CCP has announced their CCP Toy Festival what looks to be an online toy sale. With events and shows being cancelled CCP has turned to a virtual sale of sort, the sale will be anywhere from 30 to 50% off (possible as high as 70%) on 150 or more items. These include Ultraman and Toho related figures and more, the sale runs from April 24th to April 26th. Keep an eye out on the CCP website here.

Tanaka Studio (Kenichi Tanaka) is releasing two new busts the FMS (Film Monsters Statue) Godzilla 1954 Arrange Image Bust (FMS18), and Godzilla 2019 Bust (FMS19). Both are unpainted and unassembled kits (6 pieces for Godzilla 1954, 9 pieces for Godzilla 2019), designed with ZBrush, each is 17cm tall, Godzilla 1954 is 10,000 yen and Godzilla 2019 is 12,000 yen. Both can be ordered now from Tanaka Studio, with the 1954 releasing now and 2019 releasing in May 2020.

X-Plus has announced a number of new figures these include 30cm Series Godzilla 1993, DefoReal Godzilla 1974, as well as the first figure for the Spring Big Kaiju Festival, DefoReal Hedorah Clear Black Version. The Godzilla 1993 the Ric version features a paint app that gives the appearance when Godzilla is restructured by Rodan, standard has a regular paint scheme, it stands 30cm tall, will retail for 22,000 yen (20,350 yen for the standard), and it will release July 2020. The DefoReal Godzilla 1974 Ric comes with a Black Hole Third Planet Alien, Godzilla stands 13cm, the Alien stands 5cm, it retails for 7,700 yen (7,150 yen for the standard), and will be released Sept 2020. The Spring Big Kaiju Festival will be a lottery that looks to feature a different limited figure each week (on Fridays), the first is Hedorah which is the same sculpt as the previous releases in clear black vinyl, it is limited to 300 pieces, and will retail for 5,000 yen. The Rics and lottery items can be pre-ordered from X-Plus, standard from other retailers.

CCP is releasing the Artistic Monster Collection (AMC) Hedorah Japan Culture 02 Version, the second series of figures with a design based on balloons from Japanese festivals. There are four versions landing, adult, chimney, and crawling (quadruped), each is molded in cream colored luminous vinyl with a black and red splatter paint app. They are 21cm, 26cm, 19.5cm and 30cm respectively in height (length for crawling), limited to 150,100, 200, and 50 pieces each respectively, and retail for 11,000 yen, 14,000 yen, 12,000 yen, and 9,000 yen respectively as an early order price (all will increase by 2,000 yen afterwards), all can be pre-ordered now from CCP with release scheduled for August/September 2020.

Marusan has announced their June 2020 releases including Classic Godzilla 350 Sakura-mochi Version, Godzilla 1971 Dark Glitter, Hedora 350 A-Type Green Clear Body Gold Star Eyes, and Ultraman 350 B-Type GID. All figures are 22cm tall, Classic Godzilla has a clear white body with glitter and pink and green highlights, Godzilla 1971 is a black clear vinyl with glitter and paint highlights, Hedorah is clear green with red and yellow highlights and "star" eyes, and Ultraman is a glow in the dark figure. Both Godzillas and Hedorah retail for 11,000 yen, Ultraman for 8,800 yen, all can be pre-ordered now from Marusan. The Ultraman figure is an international release, the Godzilla and Hedorah are Japanese releases only, all are scheduled for  release June 2020.

The Godzilla Store is releasing some new Godzilla shirts, three t-shirts and an a Hawaiian style shirt. The Hawaiian shirt features an all over print featuring Ghidorah: The Three Headed Monster (1964) poster art, is made of 100% polyester, has wood like buttons, comes in sizes M, L, and XL, and retails for 9,900 yen. The t-shirts come in two styles, the first is an all over print of the Godzilla 1984 poster, is made of 100% polyester, comes in sizes S, M, L, and XL, and retails for 6,600 yen. The other two t-shirts feature the same print Godzilla 1954 with the text The Burning City '54, two colors (white and red), sizes S, M, L, XL, and retails for 3,190 yen (the material for this shirt was not listed). The Hawaiian shirt is scheduled to be released July 2020, the t-shirts May 2020, all from the Godzilla Store.

Wizards of the Coast Brings the King of the Monsters to Magic: The Gathering with Godzilla Series Monsters

Godzilla, Mothra, King Caesar, and more of TOHO’s iconic monsters will appear in the upcoming Magic: The Gathering premier card set.

RENTON, WA—The King of the Monsters makes his debut in Magic: The Gathering! Wizards of the Coast, in a groundbreaking collaboration with TOHO CO., LTD, is proud to announce that the iconic monsters from the Godzilla franchise are coming to Magic: The Gathering. The Godzilla Series Monster cards are a special feature of the upcoming premier card set, Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths.

Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths is the spring 2020 premier card set for Magic: The Gathering and introduces players to a brand new world full of incredible monsters and the humans that bond with them. The set introduces players to Lukka, a proud member of the Coppercoats, the military unit that protects the city of Drannith from Ikoria’s savage monsters. Lukka’s world is forever changed when he forms a mystical connection with a ferocious, winged cat. Such bonds are treasonous in Drannith, forcing Lukka to flee from the very home he was sworn to protect. Now an outcast monster “bonder,” Lukka must survive the wilds of Ikoria with the help of planeswaker Vivien Reid.

Each Godzilla Monster Series card will feature a monster from the pantheon of the Godzilla franchise as a Magic card from Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths. There will be a total of 16 Godzilla Series Monster cards available in English, with three more available only in Japanese.

Fans will only be able to obtain Godzilla, King of the Monsters (while supplies last) by purchasing a draft booster pack display through a Wizards Play Network store. Each sealed draft booster pack display will contain a random Godzilla Series Monster card. Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths Collector Boosters will also contain two random Godzilla Series Monster cards. The Godzilla Series Monster cards will not appear in draft booster packs.

The Godzilla Series Monster cards will also appear in Magic: The Gathering Arena as card styles. Players will receive the card styles as a special bonus when purchasing Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths bundles of six or more booster packs inside the Magic: The Gathering Arena client.

Bandai is releasing the High Grade D+ 3 (HG D+) Godzilla Gashapon Figures, the four figures that are being released in series 3 are, Godzilla 1999, Gigan 1972, Shin Godzilla 2nd Form, and Shin Godzilla 4th Form. Both Shins appear to be molded in a clear colored vinyl, all figures come with a base, capsule, and they stand approx 3.5 inches tall. The set of 4 should retail for approx $20 US (500 yen each), and should be available later this month, April.

The Godzilla Store is releasing the Godzilla Tsumamare Key Chains from Cospa. These rubber character key chains feature Godzilla '65, Mothra '92, Ghidorah '91, and Mechagodzilla '75 pinched (as if they were tiny and you picked them up), they come with either a key chain or strap attachment. Each retail for 660 yen and all can be pre-ordered now with release scheduled for June 2020.
