Buckle up ... this Thursday, April 7th is going to be big, especially if you're a fan of giant kaiju and kings of monsters. We've got some new TOHO releases dropping at various times this Thursday, that we're so excited to share with you all. First up, we have a pair of new posters from two of the very best. Kazuki Ōmori's GODZILLA VS. BIOLLANTE is one of our favorite Godzilla films, and Tom Whalen has delivered artwork worthy of the giant rose monster made up of plant DNA, Godzilla's chromosomes, and the cells of a grief-stricken scientist's deceased daughter. To put it simply, Tom destroyed this. Two versions are available this week, with a special third version to be released later this year. Additionally, we're thrilled to continue Attack Peter's titanic exploration of Godzilla's Showa Era with a beautiful new linocut poster for the second film in the iconic filmography: Motoyoshi Oda's GODZILLA RAIDS AGAIN. All posters will be releasing tomorrow at 11AM CT, as always on The Drop. On the Toys & Collectibles side of things, we have even more TOHO Soft Vinyl ahead, starting with Thursday's release: the first in our line of JET JAGUAR figures, featuring a colorway inspired by the seminal GODZILLA VS. MEGALON. This version, with many more to come, goes on sale this Thursday, 4/7 at 12PM CT on The Drop. From Mondo
King Ghidorah, Monster Zero, The Astro Monster ... this three-headed hydra kaiju has terrorized millions throughout the cosmos; and now ready to terrorize your tiki bar! Appearing in over eight films, King Ghidorah has cemented into pop culture as one of Godzilla’s fiercest adversaries. Celebrating such a beast is no small feat. We did our damndest with 8 3/4" inches and 26 oz. of pure monstrous excellence, fit for all sorts of libations. On sale tomorrow, Tuesday March 22nd, at 12PM CT on mondoshop.com. When deciding what the next Godzilla Tiki mug would be, we really felt that King Ghidorah would be the perfect fit. It was definitely a challenge to incorporate its design into a compact, easy to fit-in-your-hand tiki mug. That said, as it was designed we realized that all of Ghidora’s scales and shapes translated really well into tiki. We chose the Showa Era design because of its iconography, pairing nicely next to last year's Godzilla Showa Era Tiki release. We enlisted the skills of the super-talented Tufan Sezer to sculpt and bring this mug to life - he really killed it. We worked to find the correct proportions, shapes and textures. In the end, Tufan really nailed the design, contributing a lot to the overall look and feel of the mug. Lastly, we turned to the amazing folks at Tiki Farm to make this mug a reality. We knew we had a pretty complex design on our hands and no one was better suited to handle than Tiki Farm. They accepted the challenge; the result speaks for itself. Cheers! Mondo Toys and Collectibles KING GHIDORAH Tiki Mug Design by Hector Arce Sculpt by Tufan Sezer Packaging Design by Mike Bonanno Expected to ship in July 2022 to US & Canada $65 Our GODZILLA MUSEUM small-scale statue line continues Series 1 with a jaw-dropping design from Attack Peter. The linocut master has taken what he's done on the page and expanded it into three radical dimensions. His work has already a become a staple of the Godzilla art world, so to see him take the reins on this statue is nothing short of fantastic.
Attack Peter Statement: “Toys have always been my greatest love! One of my earliest toy memories as a child is that of my grandfather buying me what I now know is called the 'Imperial Godzilla!' He was a staple in all my multi-versal toy wars but mostly I admired his expression, form, paint, and even the seams. I took him with me everywhere! Figures like this one inspired so many creations in crayons, clay and eventually linoleum and ink! We are now full circle and I hope when you hold THE KING in your hands, he inspires joy, wonder, love and creativity!” Artists

Godzilla 74 Tiki Mug - Heat Ray Variant
Rising from the waves off the Tokyo coast is pop culture's preeminent prehistoric powerhouse himself, the gargantuan GODZILLA. As tribute to seven decades of sheer reptilian wrath, artists Hector Arce, Mike Bonanno and Tufan Sezer have tiki-fied cinema's most iconic lizard for the first time in history, in homage to the battle-heavy, blood-soaked 1974 fan favorite GODZILLA VS. MECHAGODZILLA. Perched upon a Pacific tsunami and ready to annihilate his destructive digital doppelgänger (but just as ready to provide you with radioactive refreshment), the GODZILLA '74 Tiki Mug is a monumental masterwork of dinosaur drinkware fit for a king. NOTE: These mugs are handmade, making each one unique. Slight variations from images shown may occur. SON OF GODZILLA Linocut Poster Art by Attack Peter. 1-color Linocut Print on Handmade Lokta Paper. Printed, Signed and Numbered by the Artist. 20”x30”. Edition of 120. Expected to ship in April 2021. Ships worldwide, except China and Japan. $100. “I’ve had a strange relationship with this film. I’m fairly certain that SON OF GODZILLA was one of the handful of Godzilla films I watched on loop as a kid, the others being KING KONG VS GODZILLA, EBIRAH: HORROR OF THE DEEP, and GODZILLA RAIDS AGAIN. I remember loving the tropical island and jungle vibe so much! Back then, I thought Minya was a lovable dork and I didn’t have any issues with him being in the mix. As I got older, I started to cringe whenever I saw him pop up in films, and his voice began to irritate me as well. I think it was a combination of me being in my "too cool for Minya" phase and also thinking that his presence would keep new fans from getting into Big G’s filmography. Recently though, I began to rewatch all of the Showa, Heisei, Millenium and Legendary films again. It suddenly occurred to me that the hatred had gone too far on Minya. He’s an important part of Godzilla’s story and allows us to see a side of him that we don’t get to see elsewhere: He’s a hero and a father. In addition to that, I realized how many fans would constantly trash the ‘67 Godzilla suit! I don’t know if it’s the contrarian in me or my deep love of the X-Plus 30cm 1967 Godzilla figure — which I feel is one of the best Godzilla toys ever made — but I LOVE THAT SUIT. When the time came to pick my next design for the fine folks at Mondo, and seeing how many great artists interpreted so many popular Godzilla films, I knew it may fall on me to give SON OF GODZILLA the love it deserves! I spent my time trying to stay loyal to the odd and uncomfortable designs of the suits while giving them a touch of stylization, emphasize the lush jungle environment, and pay tribute to the nasty kaiju insects that inhabit it! I really hope you all love it!” - Attack Peter Godzilla '74 Tiki Mug
